If its the same plant it qualifies, I just didnt want people throwing up 50 different plants in one post and getting crazy +1's for a garden instead of an individual plant. I wanna see quality specimens not picture dumps basically.

Screens are a biatch if you ever have to move or re-position a plant.
What is your harvest weight under that set-up?

Little Off topic on that those are pics taken in may, july and november 2014, plus june 2015
the one entered for the contest was snapped fw days ago.
I bought the plant in the first photo, and it proved to grow as fast as columnars do (provided with great waterings and fertilization)
crests that are often sold are cuttings of other crests, ergo, you see them cresting from the base. i Don't know if this one was seed grown or cutting, but the columnar part, is not exactly columnar. Those indeed are different from regular columnar Myrtile, wich do have 4-8 ribs (more commonly 5 or 6). Myrtiles with 10-16 ribs, wich grow vertically should be considered already crests, as the apical meristem will switch from point to line asset soon. this may not happen immediately, as sometimes it will happen later, resulting in something that is not stable, with high baricenter wich may fall often ( wich may require a cutting to get a pretty crest from the base and a lot of rootstock for grafting or else)

Yes, fasciation is the tecnical term for cresting, when the Apical meristem changes from point to line.

Heres a gnarly front line costal shrub, growing in limestone.
I spent what seemed like hours, staring stoned at this thing. Pondering how old, its twisted ass could be.

What is your harvest weight under that set-up?
I totally missed this question, this is my first grow with screens, I made them using contacters sting (the stuff they use for chalk lines) when it comes time to harvest I will just cut the strings. I need to do a better job with the frame anyways its not straight. As for harvest weights I tend to start smoking the bud as it cures so I've never actually recorded a harvest weight. I will try this time though just for reference
