@sweep - Ben Carson has intellectually amounted to a level that is way out of your league. Before you call someone a bumbling idiot, try to garner millions of people's support in a presidential bid. He can't be that dumb.
I have know several brilliant people who have no common sense and/or do not fit into society.
Ben Carson is a Brilliant Good man but he lives a fantasy in his head and will not be the next POTUS.

First of all Bernie only said he thinks public college should be free, and that's only for the people that are smart enough to get in (not "everyone").
You laugh as though that's an impossible goal, but it's already being done in places like Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. So unless you think the US is some backwards third world country, it's achievable.

These things aren't even comparable. This is apple to oranges. You can disagree with Bernie, because you have a different set of values, but he's not using fairytale evidence to support an argument that goes against the entire scientific community lol!

Now we'really judging their statements in terms of scientific validity? In this situation, the criteria isn't truth, it's how much it appeals to the public in a general election. Just my opinion, a black soft-spoken yet firm neurosurgeon who suggest massive tax decreases will destroy two old whites whose in one case lying and in the other tax hikes will cause them to be unelectable. Pyramids for grain storage or no pyramids for grain storage you're fucked
On a separate note, why do you believe that the US should be more like those countries? In sanders' favorite example, Denmark, earning $100,000 in income would translate to the purchasing power of $32,000. Imagine bringing in a hundred grand and only being able to afford a single nice car. That's just ridiculous.

Also, what argument is being made by saying that the pyramids were made for grain storage other than disagreeing with their mainstream origin history? How is that even relevant to our current pressing issues?

Let me ask you this: Would you rather make $100,000 with a purchasing power of $32,000, plus all the benefits that come with taxation (free college etc.), or would you rather make $32,000 with a purchasing power of $32,000 and no extra benefits?
I realize that the numbers in this example aren't a good representation of reality, but the fact is that the United States is falling behind Europe in things like median income, and more importantly in median wealth:
U.S. Median Wealth Only 27th in World
Country Median Wealth Per Adult
1. Australia $193,653 2. Luxembourg $153,967 3. Japan $141,410 4. Italy $123,710 5. Belgium $119,937 6. United Kingdom $115,245 7. Iceland $ 95,685 8. Singapore $ 95,542 (non-OECD) 9. Switzerland $ 87,137 10. Denmark $ 87,121 11. Austria $ 81,649 12. Canada $ 81,610 13. France $ 81,274 14. Norway $ 79,376 15. Finland $ 73,487 16. New Zealand $ 63,000 17. Netherlands $ 61,880 18. Ireland $ 60,953 19. Qatar $ 57,027 (non-OECD) 20. Spain $ 53,292 21. United Arab Emir. $ 47,998 (non-OECD) 22. Taiwan $ 45,451 (non-OECD) 23. Germany $ 42,222 24. Sweden $ 41,367 25. Cyprus $ 40,535 (non-OECD) 26. Kuwait $ 40,346 (non-OECD) 27. United States $ 38,786
So yes, I think we should be more like Europe where it helps people's median wealth. Free college is one of many such things that would help the average person.

And what does median wealth have to do with anything. For example, Taiwan and Japan both have a lower standard of living than the US.

It's a sad reality that a large amount of the US population choose not to aspire to anything and scrape by more often than not with government assistance. Choking the economy just so everyone can get a small but equal piece of the pie rather IMO isn't favorable to just let the hard-working be richer and the slackers to be poorer. I'd rather make $100,000 and at least get to have the purchasing power of $75,000. Instead of being able to buy one car, I can now purchase multiple cars for my family members and perhaps even a nice boat for family time on weekends. Working your ass off to be able to live a life of abundance instead of earning a low wage regardless of how hard you work is a major advantage of capitalism. Socialism is essentially allowing the government to choose how to spend your money for you. Boo.

Socialists want equal outcomes for everyone, not equal opportunity. They would rather have shared misery than those who bust their ass get ahead, that's "unfair". They give not two twits about how hard you work and sacrifice, if you have more than your neighbor, that makes you a demon, end of story.

Yes, integrity. I'm calling Ben Carson a liar. He's too educated to believe the garbage coming out of his mouth, and he is pandering to the party of stupid.

So, your argument is that poor people are poor because they are lazy, and wealth people are wealthy because they work so very hard? I just want to get that straight before I demolish that silly claim.
