Can anyone confirm these as P. Semilanceata?
    #22481203 - 11/05/15 01:35 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

Habitat:
I found them near a shrub in Corvallis, OR. They were in that mulch people use for landscaping. It was really moist an shady. I didn't pay attention to the type of shrub because I'm a noob and I just grabbed them walking to class since they looked like they could possibly be Lib caps

Gills:
Dark purple gills. Either adnate or adnexed, I can't tell because as I said I'm a noob

Stem:
A couple mm thick, hollow, about 10 cm long. These are all estimates as I do not own a ruler or at least I can't find the one I thought I had.

Cap:
The cap is umbonate. It has slight striations and wrinkles, which may be because they aren't completely fresh. The color is a really pale brown that looks grey to me. The largest one is maybe 3 cm in diameter. One of the caps I damaged purposefully and it has blueing on it.

Spore print color:
Chocolate purple (deep purple)

Bruising:
Cap bruises blue, stems might bruise slightly blue but they're so thin it's hard to tell.

Other information:
They smell like other psilocybin containing mushrooms I've encountered... The normal edible mushroom smell with a little extra must (musk? Whats the difference btwn those words? Musty vs musky.. I use them synonymously)

Thank you x2!

What was your first dead giveaway, Alan? I'm quizzing myself.

Outside of the woodchips, under a shrub, in a highly landscaped area?

Yes, also Mike Wood says that species is extremely common.  There are many other species it could be, pending microscopy.
