My first try at automization....

Tonight I found myself a little bored and restless so I deciced to try automating one of my terrariums.... I hooked a fish pump and used a splitter to run 2 bubble stones into an empty plastic bottle. I then placed the whole bottle into the terrarium and duct taped the pump the the outside of the lid. The whole thing looked pretty smooth when I got it hooked up, but the question is....Will it work? Will this provide enough humidity and gas exchange? Will it be better than fanning 5-6 times a day?

my friend has been using this method and gotten slightly smaller fruits than expects so he just put in a fan inside to circulate the air 2 times a day. results will come in time...

Just slap a 12V fan with a filter on the side of a BIG rubber made bin. Then set a timer for 15 minutes on every hour and you'll be in business. Good luck

the boss I have a q...
why not run the fan all the time? Is there a disadvantage to this. The problem I see is it drying out the casings. How often would one have to mist?
thanx for the input everyone! My test chamber is at > 90%rh and holding steady. Should I add holes in the bottom to help vent CO2?

It's hard to retain Rh with the fan running at all times.

Ok I have lots of very small pins the casing in my auto terrarium and on a cake in my fishank maintaind by perlite and fanning.
I also have 2 casings in an identical terrarium that is not automated.
I think will be interesting to compare the results of these 3 batches.
