Experiment; Mars ---> Earth evolution

Maybe Mars is just younger or more slowly evolving than earth and in several billion years perhaps Mars will have evolved itself a proper ozone layer and life will have sprouted.
I mean isn't that a theory on how earth started? Surely earth was a rock in the early days of its creation. Eventually it evolved to have an inhabitable atmosphere, then as the saying "if you build it they will come" goes, life showed up and evolved in many directions on this newly inhabitable planet.
So what if instead of trying to advance our space program so that we can travel to Mars and terraform it for our use, what if we left it as a lab experiment of sorts and kept an eye on how the planet and it's atmosphere and the life which is probably on it evolved?
Imagine if we left out existence unknown to Mars and in a billion years we saw a truly inhabitable atmosphere form, then another billion years later we notice primitive life forms, then another billion years we notice humanoid life forms....
Oh man trippy.
It would be hella trippy to watch that shit. Especially if by happenstance another humanoid species did independently evolve on its own without our interference on Mars.
Then the atheists could be like "told you so" And the Christians could be like "nuh uh God did that"

we're in a certain point in our distance from the universe to the extend that life can grow here. i think mars is outside that range

But billions and billions of years can make a lot of changes. Maybe a planet or two blows up pulls Mars closer to the sun. Maybe a planet blows up and make a new sun at the other side of the universe.

It's moons are pretty small I don't think life would ever start up there even if it had water because the tides would be pretty small

Currently, scientists have argued that Mars was like Earth, millions or years ago. Then it lost its water and thin atmosphere over time due to a lack of magnetic field and other planet factors.
To say its evolving into an Earth-like planet is a bit of a stretch.
But, it would be cool to terraform Mars to support life, and see what happens. How cool would that be to watch.

i've often wondered what would happen if someone were to tow a few asteroids in close to mars, and strap em up to the existing moons. you know, get mars a moon that is comparable in mass to ours (relative to mars' mass)

Nope. Mars can't build an atmosphere because it's too light. All gases just escape the atmosphere. No water can be formed long enough to potentially start life. I don't know about the sulfur content of Mars, but the only thing potentially viable would be some kind of EXTREME extreme-o-phile to survive in such a hostile environment.
I think the water bear or whatever that thing is called is the only thing we know of that can survive in deep space

I'm no expert, but the lack of magnetic field seems like a deal breaker. It means you will always need domes or go underground. Might be easier to genetically and cybernetically alter life to suit mars rather than alter mars to suit earth-life. That is really how its always been right? Organisms evolve to suit the environment.

It is theoritecally possible to terraform mars and create an atmosphere using algae

Lots of things are "possible" but it's more like .000000000000000001% chance of happening IF that. The resources it takes to just get to mars is astounding. Ensuring that everything goes smoothly is just a crap shot and beyond that, there is no way back home.
There are no resources there.
It's a dead-zone. Much like everywhere else in the universe.

Maybe NASA will build an artifical magnetic field around Mars?

That or huge domes would be awesome.

there won't be a magnetic field around mars unless the metal core starts swirling. it won't do that with significant tidal forces which are not available because mars' moons are too small. therefore step 1 would be to increase the mass of mars' moons

plot twist, this is exactly what the mars peoples were saying about earth millions of years ago, and what they'll be saying about earth millions of years in the future when it's nu8ked into oblivion.

whag if in a half billion years, human-like people evolve on Mars and look at Earth and see a planet teeming with life cause all the humans died off.
That would be nutzzz

the sun will continue to grow bigger and bigger until it gobbles up most of the solar system and become a red giant.
this is a process that's currently happening over billions and billions of years.
so yea, it's likely i think. if the goldilocks zone stretches out a bit more towards mars's orbit as the sun gets a bit bigger.
there's already evidence of water currently on mars

What if billions of years ago, Mars had life..and intelligent life which spawned all life on earth in wake of Mars becoming uninhabitable.

maybe we lived on mars, and an alien race came to enslave us, used us to rape mars of its resources, then took some of us to earth to do the same thing, and thats why all the governments are covering up all the alien stuff so we never find out were slaves made to destroy the planet until its already done

my old boss thought that aliens put us hear to mine all the metals and refine them. then, once we have most of it to the surface as cars and smartphones and shit, they're gonna come back and murder us all and just pick up all the good shit.
