Hey Everyone,
New to the forums, but have been interested in mycology for awhile now.
A friend found a small patch the other day and is hoping you guys can help ID it. Wavy caps, white/off white stems, caramel coloring on caps with slight nippled center, looks like blue bruising - spore prints didn't come out great, but from what we can tell the prints look purple/ blackish.
Pictures below were taken approx. 8 hours after harvest. Hoping to rule out any sort of Galerina species. Thanks!!
Habitat: Pacific Northwest US. South of Seattle Grassy lawn with wood mulch next to wooded park.
Gills: Brown Cinnamon to Blackish. Attached Gills (Adenate I think?)
Stem: Length: 3-5cm, Diameter: 0.3-0.5cm White to dirty off white/light tan Thin, smooth, solid, easily splintered.
Cap: Diameter: 2-6cm, Caramel to Light Tan Color, Glossy, Flat top w/ Wavy edges, Slight Bump/Nipple at Center, Some color variation at outer edges Color lightened to Tan/ Light Brown after drying.
Spore print color: Looks to be Dark Blue/Purple to Black
Bruising: Blue (looks dark blue on caps/ stems)
Other information: After drying mushrooms have a punget earthy scent that resembles dark chocolate.

Look to be Cyanescens to me. Wait for a TI to confirm it though to be safe. Nice find though.

Yes they're Psilocybe cyanescens, cool stuff. That blue bruising seals the deal. I want to find these here.
