Stop blaming everything on illegals. My county has one of the highest percentage of illegals in the country. Over 30% of the population is foreign born. The percentage of the county with HS diplomas is 91%. The percentage of Texans with HS diplomas is 49%. Don't blame illegal immigrants for the fact that texans seem to be dumb ass motherfuckers. My county has a higher percentage (57%) of college graduates than Texas has of high school graduates. Texas has a horrible education system.

If you factor out minorities and the poor, texas' students perform so much more well than those from Cali.

Living in a bleeding heart state must make the native californians really dumb. Oh wait, it does. Liberals are inherently dumber than any other political orientation.

Lol. If you filter out the poor performers, performance is really good. If I filter out your posts, the shroomery has much better posts.

And be honest koods, who did the article specify were the poor performers other than the poor? I can just quote the article and post it but I'm giving you a chance to tell the truth.

Could you cite those statistics for me? I've been looking at a chart showing that 88% of Texas kids graduate high school. If only 49% of Texans have a HS diploma, it would imply that possibly the influx of illegal immigrants into Texas is the reason for that low number of Texans with HS diplomas. I'd like to see where the disparity comes from.

Texas manipulates their numbers to look better.

http://www.educationnews.org/education-policy-and-politics/texas-graduation-rates-praised-by-perry-questioned-by-critics/

We are talking about a state that elected George Bush AND Rick Perry to be their governors. There's a whole lotta derp in Texas.

According to federal procedure, Texas must track students who leave the school and report them to the state education agency.  However, only some of these, such as those who move to another state or decide to home school, are counted toward the graduation statistic, allowing the state to hide the number of students who drop out. - See more at: http://www.educationnews.org/education-policy-and-politics/texas-graduation-rates-praised-by-perry-questioned-by-critics/#sthash.ThGvKjC6.dpuf

There are 46 states that are, according to the new York times, derpier than Texas. How mad does that make you?

No, family values under Old Testament Law are to stone a disobedient child to death. Prior to Jesus's death, it wasn't Christianity since Christ hadn't been here yet. Christians don't stone people. You're thinking of Muslims.

What you said is pithy, but inaccurate.

so christians dont use the old testament where it says that homosexuality is a sin?

texas has 16% of the illegals and an 88% graduation rate regardless of your
fiction of 49%, they're also a state filled with conservatives
http://www.cde.ca.gov/nr/ne/yr15/yr15rel34.asp

california has a 74% graduation rate and 25% of the illegals, they're also a
liberal stonghhold, what can er surmise from this data?
http://www.texastribune.org/2015/02/20/texas-high-school-graduation-rate-behind-only-iowa/

1. koods likes to make up a lot of shit
2. liberals like it when kids are dumb because it allows them to pander for more money
3. koods likes to make shit up

hell, if we go by this, texas still exceeds california
http://www.governing.com/gov-data/high-school-graduation-rates-by-state.html

I wonder what koods attributes california's failing performance to

Haha, you scoff at "global warming deniers" that claim the IPCC cooks it's books then you turn around and use that same lousy excuse when it suits your agenda. Getting thumped on the head repeatedly with the bible has actually, according to undeniable facts published by the NYT, made texans smarter than the dumb liberals in cali.

did you know that koods' state has a lower high school graduation rate than texas,
apparently they have more college graduates, I bet that has nothing to do with the
fact that all of the area surrounding DC is filled with lawyers that work in DC

your higschool means diddly, the state's graduation rate reflects that your state
is dumber than texas  who coincidentally elected a man that graduated from both
yale and harvard

did you graduate from yale and harvard?
