Couldn't you say that about a codeine or tramadol addict?

No I don't think codeine and tramadol fit in the same category as kratom at all.
Codeine metabolizes into Morphine in the body, and Tramadol causes seizures. Both are serious opiates, although I wouldnt argue they might be somewhat safer the fentanyl or heroin.

For me kratom was actually more powerful than codeine and when I went back to codeine I couldn't even get high but I was doing a lot of kratom. But anyway my point was just that the virtues of kratom come from its weak opioid properties.

Yeah I found the upper limit of the kratom high to compare to a perc 30, which isn't enough to keep me happy but sure seems like a high enough dose to get a good habit going.

Thats really not true though, kratom has numerous advantages and benefits that come form its unique alkaloids and physical/chemical/organic properties and not simply from being a weak opiate.

Yeah I guess its not fair to say that. It does have stimulating effects and is packed with antioxidants among other things. The recreational appeal is from its weak opioid properties at least.

Yes the recreational appeal is from its weak opiate properties but it also seems to have profound anti depressant qualities, stimulating effects, opiod antagonist properties, and many other alkaloids we really havent studied enough to know what exactly they do. These alkaloids also appear in varying concentrations so each dose and strain is different. Their is also a large amount of fibre, antioxidants, plant polyphenols, and medical benefits- reduction of risk of diabetes and stroke have been claimed, and I and others find kratom makes us incredibly regular and is amazing for our bowels.
Kratom is also an excellent workout aid, which in turn benefits health.
I think kratom is a fundamentally different animal from other opiates. Other opiates descend from the opium poppy, kratom from the kratom tea, its just a totally different thing with some interesting overlaps but totally unique unto itself.

Yes I know. It's an opiod and it differs in having no relation to the opium poppy.

Technically kratom is not an opioid in itself, some alkaloids contained may be tho.

yeah I'm just being a smartass, I use the terms interchangeably TBH, in 99% of cases it doesn't matter what you call it unless you're writing in a scientific journal or something.

I too have lost every job I've had to opiate addiction. It hurts sometimes, because I've fucked off some nice jobs.
In other news, I just dropped my first solid deuce since I quit. Felt nice man.

I've been catching myself thinking a lot about getting back on the 'done lately.
Not craving or anything, not wanting b, but I am wanting something. I miss being able to sleep on command, and having the motivation to get things done and bust ass all day.
