What oral health compounds do you use?
#22472369 - 11/03/15 05:55 PM (8 years, 2 months ago) |
|

There are a few basic compounds that anyone concerned about their oral health should use.
1. Chlorhexidine and/or cetylpyridinium chloride
2. Zinc ion solution for reducing bacterial ability to produce volatile sulfur compounds. VSCS are what cause bad breath.
3. Biotene mouthwash or xylitol bubblegum for plaque dissolution/teeth remineralization
4. Sodium fluoride for obvious reasons
How many of these do you use?

Without knowing him well, why do you say that?

Fluoride is necessary to maintain all calcified cell structures such as teeth and internal bones, as we age!

and yet women still shrink and break hips no matter how many times they brush, better off not brushing then you at least won't have nearly as brittle bones. so when you fall you bounce like a ball so if you curl up you can start rolling and if you find a hill you can go bowling and wake up sometime the next morning

No. Sodium fluoride in high concentrations almost entirely eliminates s. Mutans which is the primary strain of bacteria that decays teeth.

No sodium fluoride in high concentrations will fuck you up bad. It's good in trace amounts, but excessive fluoride is extremely bad for your health.

I don't use fluoride in my toofpaste and my chompers are most excellent.
I have one of those tongue scrapers though, and I floss/brush every night and then in the morning before work, I also have mouthwash too, never had any complaints about bad breath from any of the people I have kissed.

Breath can be controlled by flossing and brushing and completecompletely eliminated by adding the other shit
And none of the 10 I've kissed said or nnonverbally implied that I had bad breath even tho I likely did have bad breath with a a couple of them. Too modest/don't notice is all

Its ok for mouthwash use. Rinse thoroughly to wash it out. Consume iodated salt to combat fluoride antagonism of iodide if you wanna but that likely ain't necessary either

My dentist warned me to not use fluoridated mouthwash more than once a day. It should not be used to freshen your breath. I had some bad teeth damage due to overuse of fluoridated mouthwash. Using fluoride toothpaste is more than sufficient.
Fluoride is absolutely a necessary trace element and children who do not have a source of fluoride have generally terrible dental health outcomes. It is very easy to overdo it and an adult needs very little fluoride. It is certainly not something you should be taking To eliminate cavity causing bacteria. OP you seem to be someone who gets obsessive with thing, and obsessive use of fluoride containing compounds is a terrible idea.

All I use is over the counter sodium fluoride mouthwash :$ Not obsessive
Adding biotene plaque dissolving xylitol mouthwash will always be better than not adding it and is probably even more important overall for teeth health

I wonder if an Occasional Listerine session (brushing teeth with Listerine) would be sufficient in maintaining oral health.
Because as far as I know, it kills anything alive. EDIT: In all of known human history never has anyone used fluoride or any weird toothpastes and chemicals we do today.
