Styrofoam SAB Questions

I just miraculously found the contents around my house to make a make shift SAB. I have already constructed it! I have some questions though. Should I clean it inside and out very thoroughly before I put the jars in? Also does the box need to be completely rid of openings?
My arm hole caps dont fully cover the circles I cut out but they sit in there fine. Getting ready to start my first grow, trying doing it right this time though lol. I messed up last time and used the oven tek because it was recommended by the people I bought my jars from. I ended up getting a 50% success rate from 6 jars.
I plan on innoculating in my bathroom after sterilizing the room with alcohol and 1/10 bleach water. Does it seem like I have taken the proper precautions to succeed on my adventure?

I'm pretty sure having a small opening or two won't hurt anything.
here's a good write-up on SAB procedure using soapy water. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17441645#17441645

there is no need to try and "sterilize" your bathroom just make sure the air is still (IE shut off your heat 1 hour before you plan on working) make sure your clean and get your sab wet inside with soapy water so the contams will stick after settling to the bottom. wipe everything your working on with iso ,flame sterilize and get to work and FYI bleach and iso don't sterilize anything they sanitize which are two completely different things

Good info, I guess i meant sanitize my bathroom as it is going to be the room I will be working in. I plan on taking a shower, then sanitizing my counter space, spraying the room with bleach to trap and contaminants to make it safer. So I should use soap rather than bleach or iso?
When should i put my Jars in? and how could i put my jars in the SAB without introducing contamination? Wouldnt it let air in if I tried putting the jars in through the arm holes? I guess what I'm really asking is if I should wipe the jars with iso before or after they are in the SAB.

Also I just figured out I am only going to be able to do 6 jars at a time. I would have to re-sanitize the SAB once I open it correct?

A SAB is just that...a Still Air Box...it just need to provide a still draft free place for you to work. Just use soapy water in your SAB, or iso...but I've never used bleach in 5 years of this hobby. And that's not going to be fun not being able to see in the front like that. Goooood luck!

Tried to use the SAB to inoculate today and it went to shit... The door kept coming off, tape kept coming unstuck, and I had literally no space inside the box to do my work... I think i'm just going to open air inoculate.. It will probably work better than the oven tek.

Haha. I thought it would work but it all fucked up when it came to actually using it. I just sprayed my bathroom down everywhere with 1/10 bleach water and wiped my counter down with alcohol, wrapped a towel around my face and inoculated in the air. I honestly will be surprised if any jars dont get contaminated. It sucks I was planning on doing it completely sterile this time and it all fucked up.

Put a little chloroform on that towel next time... it really makes a difference.
