i cased two 35l tubs one pf redspore the other cambodian. my plan is to case and fruit directly the pf red and case and colonize 30% then fruit the cambodian.
day 3 the cambodian didnt even colonize 10% and i can see a little pin popping out of the casing layer!
should i just fruit it?

Yes...the casing layer is not there to get colonized, it's there to provide a microclimate for the colonized sub beneath of it.

Yes, once it starts pinning, you'll want to supply the FAE as soon as possible or they will likely abort.
What type of casing are you using? I've read that spaghnum peat moss/verm needs 30% colonization before being introduced into fruiting, or pinning will be stalled.

But some tcs and others leave it to colonize before fruiting and they use the same casing that i used the 50/50+ peat/verm and calcium carbonate...i was trying to see what works better.
The tub that i cased and fruited directly is colonizing and the one i have left to colonize is pining already! Lol

The sub has already switched into the fruiting phase on the cambodian tub. It wouldn't make sense to let it colonize to 30% or more at this point. Just fruit it now or you may risk having your tub stall out. Next time, case your tub a bit earlier to avoid these issues.

Nooo lol, once the surface is covered completely (usually 7-10 days, depending on the strength of the culture, moisture content of the sub, etc..) then apply the thin casing layer evenly and immediately put it back into colonizing.
After a couple of days, the mycelium will start poking through, when you see it looks like it covered 30% of the surface, fruit it.
I've read that if a tub starts pinning up before it's fully colonized, then this indicates that there is a contam present within the sub and its competing with the mycelium, which slows down growth at this stage.
