Searching & Searching.....
    #22469391 - 11/03/15 02:57 AM (8 years, 2 months ago)

I'm having issues at trying to figure out where to find shrooms! Even on my 8 hour hike/mushroom hunts. Still new with identifing and dont want to chance making a mistake, and consuming something I'm not 100% sure on. I really seriously need a mushroom mentor, like long distance or in Spokane WA. I need a guild to reach me the path of the magic. I havent gotten to try shrooms at all.  Been Searching for months, I have 5 different types of books now. Chances are the shrooms are right under my nose, but please don't tell me that I must trespass on a cow pasture... :frown:  Completely bummed I found a Russla instead of a Amantia yesterday. I tried morning glory seed which just sucked, LSA is not a replacement for the magic I want to try. Here below are the only mushrooms I've found that look even remotely hopeful if at all? I tossed them because I wasn't sure and was just getting frustrated. Didn't know how to store them until I found out the identity either.

Description #1. I found a group of scattered mushrooms that look more like magic mushrooms that I've ever found. Spore brown was a dark brown, did it non white paper. Sorry my camera is awful. I did end up throwing these out, because struggles not really knowing how to store them until I could identify them. I still remember where I found them though.

Description #2.  I have found one more yesterday that looks like it could be a possible magic shroom, white or not reading a spore print off of it. Colors are different than anything I've seen. Found them in clusters inside a half way hollowed out rotting log.

#1 looks like a Psathyrella or something. not magical
Idk what #2 is but doesn't look like a psilocybe to me. Take a better picture in daylight without the filter please.

Read the "Overview to finding psilocybe mushrooms in your Area" thread that is stickied to the top of this board.

find out which mushrooms grow in Washington and read about them and their habitat Psilocybin mushrooms don't grow in cow pastures in Washington, It's too cold there.

Your pictures are terribly grainy and unfocused, but I can say with certainty that it's not hallucinogenic.
My suggestion goes in the direction of Hypholoma or perhaps Psathyrella. Check specifications of the
hallucinogenic species growing in your area, bring camera with you and take good in situ shots of all
important macroscopic features and post here together with a sufficient description of each species.
