nuentoter said: I definitely get the analogy, there is a language gap where the person may know the words your saying but not be able to string them together properly to make cohesive mind images. This is because what you are saying is so far out of their personal experience it's unrelatable and what your saying might as well be another language, your right.
There is also the personal fear that if I tell the wrong person they will start telling other people that I'm losing grip on reality out some shit.
I have no fear of ridicule or rejection here because people either connect and appreciate what I have to share, and I'm glad I did. Or they don't and I don't care then.
hehe I basically just explained this
Im so glad others are "losing their grip on reality"
Ive had my mind literally make people who told me "this is reality breaking" and more recently "youre losing grip on your reality"
Interesting how he said "your reality"
Ive only disconnected from reality - but I havent gone anywhere with it. And at this point I can only disconnect with drugs - although it happens 9/10 times I trip now
Im getting really close while sober.
Do you guys have any tips for doing this or astral projection in sobriety? I feel myself getting much much closer

I strongly recommend sobriety and meditation. Yeah.
Will not join that.

I know this is late but I may have something to add...
Perhaps you do not forget. For some reason we tell ourselves that we forgot our dreams from last night, or that we forgot so much of the experience. But I believe that what we remember is everything. Even if we don't remember every last detail I don't feel that it is important to think about it in such a cognitive way. Through cognitive interviews and regression hypnosis we can tell our minds to 'remember' past events. But because we are not dealing with the physical world per say... I feel that the details of the 'dream' that we remember are perhaps all we really need to know... and perhaps it is all that we actually experienced. Just my 2cents

Well its a psychological "fact" that the human mind has endless capacity for long term memory.
We DO remember everything - its the way our brains were raised that represses what we dont want or think is important - dreams
Regardless - the brain does have to filter out some stuff - as 3rd dimensional beings with human bodies and brains - that much information can get in the way of survival...
But it's still there... I've tapped into it three times...
Or at least my mind took me into the most beautiful psychotic break imaginable..
If insanity can consist of infinate goodness and love - I'm going the right direction
Tangent -
Either way - insane or truely endless - we are or can be gods.
The idea of a christian god, for example, he creates a reality for himself and those in his domain.
The humans he makes have the illusion of free will, and the illusion of choice...
Lets say I went "insane" as in broken from reality - and figured out how to control my perceptions.
What if I stopped time and created a universe - split up my consciousness into separate beings that thought they were alive and thought they had free will and choice
Would I be a god, even though no other human can see it?
To continue on that and move away from the christian analogy - what if one could create a reality where other consciousnesses could enter?
If we are all as I experienced - endless consciousnesses filled with love, completely separate, drifting through nothing, creating this reality somehow in unison making us all somehow one, then this reality is an energy field for consciousness to interact and experience what it is to be alive.... or limited, rather.
So could one of us theoretically start one of these "energy planes" in our minds? Could we create further consciousness, split ours up, or allow some to come from the nothingness "outside" of reality?
I need to break reality a few more times - now that I'm not scared of it to answer any of this...
But theres still the possibility my subconscious is showing me what I want to see - and now what actually is.
Either way - if I can stop time and create a 4th dimensional universe in my mind.....
Am I still something other than a 3rd dimensional human?
(sorry this sounds like a ego-trip its just first person speculation of something any human could potentially do)

That's pretty awesome that you get OBEs in meditation. All I get when I meditate is boredom and a headache... I think I'm doing it wrong.

dont focus on clearing your mind - just stop stimulating it. Your mind will wander for a bit, but it will settle.
Realize you create your perceptions. Therefor, you create at least your own reality.
You are a god to yourself - the christian god can only create for himself as well.
Your mind has infinite power - it can create things much more complex and convincing than this reality.
But realize that you are not special - you are one of the masses of human life forms. We all (may) stem from our own endless consciousness, so be humble.
You are a god, but so is your neighbor. We all create this reality together - but you can separate and create your own.

excellent
I'm glad you think so - I've only recently discovered about half of this and am still questioning it validity... but all signs have been pointing to it being true
