Clone -> fruit -> clone -> fruit -> clone -> fruit

Hey guys,
I need to clarify something. I didn't want to bump a five year old thread, which wasn't clearly enough to my question. And I didn't know what to search for. I see bunch of "generation" talk but it's still not clarified what it means..in which term!
My question is: if I clone a shroom, fruit it, and then clone again from the flush etc etc. How long can I go? When does it stop?
I've to make a spore print and start over again, if so when should I do the spore print?
Even if I make slant, it eventually gets old or ends. I need to start from bottom again.
It was said that you only need one syringe, and then you're self supplied. But this isn't correct with cloning?

If you do that senescence will set in because the myc will be the same as when you started.
I make slants from first clone culture which last about 2 years in the fridge.
You can always transfer from slant to another slant to keep it going.
If doing "f series" generations you would go back to spore each time.

Have you ever seen the movie "multiplicity"?

Okey but how many cloning->fruit->cloning can I do before it "dies"? I read all the time who people say/written to do cloning and fruit it, and then look for the fastest/biggest grower and repeat. That isn't true then, cause the myc is weak by ....how many clone-fruit-clone?
- What is "f series"?

Dude clones himself twice and the clones are fine...one of the clones decides to get himself cloned, and we'll just say the clone of a clone ain't quite right lol...

I can't tell you how many times it will take but I noticed at around 6 months of doing that fruiting really starts to suffer. It's very easy to keep young cell lines though.. If you don't think you're ready to get into slants (which shouldn't be scary) you can always keep your mycelium running on agar plates.
As for the F series or F generations (can't remember specific term) that comes from an old thread the great gene master workman put together. Basically just evolving a strain through continuous spore grows. Search around you'll find it if you're interested.
Great example on the multiplicity thing btw

I'm on the second generation of doing that, with seemingly no ill-effects. I have heard that the mature mushroom tissue itself is preparing to die or something, so cloning it is considerably worse than just G2Ging over and over. I don't plan on doing it again.
Doing it once, however, is maybe a nice jumpstart on isolation. Fist you clone and grow it, then you get to see some random variance between whatever strains are present in the clones on your 2nd grow, and clone what looks ideal from there. Any isolate you take from that 2nd clone probably has a good chance of being a good one. Once you have that, store that culture as a slant/mycellium in water/whatever and keep it rolling.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

don't clone from a clone that is pointless, gens are simpe, clone a fruit, fruit it, take a print use it take a clone from there repeat
