Dispensary in Illinois

I just seen on the news, in Illinois, a marijuana dispensary is opening up in two weeks.
Idk but my new goal is to get a card, so can I can really experiment with the sativas and the indicas.
But then I see this list; https://www.leafly.com/news/health/qualifying-conditions-for-medical-marijuana-by-state
And migraine headaches dont qualify for it.
But then I hear doctors just want you to try and get a card anyways.
But to top it off, even if I get a card, I bet its gunna be super taxed buds, and im too broke for that.

You could at least try some different things here and there, get a feel for what strains you like the best, and which ones help alleviate your headaches, seems worth it to me.

See thats what I would love to to, cuz I never got to sit there and try a specific strain to get a certain high, but ik for a fact there is a strain/high out there that ive tried, and it mixes well with me.
Plus ive been smoking all my life, its kinda scary to think that if I quit my migraines will intensify. Idk, science shit.

Medical marijuana isn't taxed super highly if I remember. Many dispensaries have cheap stuff too.

In Colorado the medical dispensaries have the deals ($25 eighths), it's the Rec spots that are expensive ($45 eighths) because you don't need your med card, just your license.

I remember buy medicine in Oakland, CA years ago at a coffee shop called Bulldog, they had some very potent indicas for $40 1/8th which were lovely.

Thank you for posting this. They added some new conditions marked with asterisks (no, I'm not autistic) that makes this a slam dunk for me. I hope this doesn't interfere with my pain specialist treatment considering the extensive demonizing of weed over the years. This really made my day.

Idk, just like @TheGreenArrow said, things are changing.
Illinois could be the new Colorado, or Cali.
Its about time Illinois gets something instead of more taxes or corruption, and gun violence would probably go down 25% cuz people aint fighting for weed anymore and everyones high.
Ron Paul for President.

Real top shelf (27%+ THC) is still $3000/lb, and trendy cuts like actual Girl Scout Cookies and Jet Fuel OG still run $60+/8th and more than $400/oz often with no breaks.
I'm not holding my breath for a prescription for IBS, though I wouldn't exactly mind More interested in a growing license than anything, I don't pay too much for fine weed as it is. Unfortunately last I heard IL has some of the strictest policies for that. On the bright side Missouri is moving along very quickly with an OR politician (from MO) focusing his efforts on the advancement of the state's cannabis policies.

I looked briefly at the list there in Illinois and there are several thing that seem impossible for them to prove you dont have: Chronic Pain Syndrome, Intractable pain, IBS.
That list is tougher than say California where they give it out for Insomnia and PMS but you should be able sneak in.

Where in Calif, because top of the top is $45 1/8th and most of the time I get freebies? I don't think I have ever paid $60 an 1/8th.... I love me the indica/sativa hybrids. My favorite right now is Platinum Girl Scout Cookies.

I doubt sneaking is necessary. Your family doctor isn't the one that gives you your card. In California, there are Prop 215 doctors that are well versed in the art of defining a condition within guidelines of the law based on a list of symptoms. If a paying patient doesn't meet the guidelines (point system), you better bet the doctor continues to ask if the patient happens to meet any of the other criteria or is exhibiting any other symptoms.Even if you don't feel like there is anything wrong with you, we all suffer from the human condition. I have yet to meet someone that hasn't been able to get their card. I can't see how this could possibly be any different any other state that currently has a similar law.
I am surprised when people tell me when they still acquire their green illegally in California. Especially when dispensaries in my area are on nearly every corner open at all hours of the day and night. Kids have it so much easier these days.... lol
