We literally didn't get one kid last year or this year. I've given up on trying to pass out candy.

When i used to trick or treat the streets would be packed in bigger neighborhoods, and in my smaller neighborhood you would atleast see a good amount of people out walking around.
I went back to my parents for halloween, same place i used to trick or treat, and it was dead, no one aside from those two kids, who lived in another neighborhood. No one that lived in my old neighborhood was out. Hardly any decorations, it made me really sad. Worst and most depressing h'ween i have ever had by far.
Anyone ever just wish they could go back in time to being a kid.

I suppose the kids these days would rather play their computer games than go out in the cold asking strangers for sweets, and, after all, haven't most of them grown up being told "don't talk to or take sweets from strangers"?
'tis sad.

I think it's because a lot of people are starting to turn their noses up at the idea of giving away candy for nothing. Or actually needing to go door to door to collect candy like some bum. Totally forgetting about the tradition aspect of it. Now it just seems like a night for the ladies to dress up as slutty as possible and haul off some fuck boi from the club.

Trick or treating is pointless with all the 99 cent stores around here. Though pretty much all the products at the 99 cent store are like 1 week from expiration, the candy is still good.
You can get 2 lbs of halloween candy for 99 cents now.

A few years ago I got all high/drunk and decided that I wanted candy so we both dressed up... as ghosts. And by ghosts I mean Charlie Brown style with holes in an old bed sheet. I think I was 21 at the time.
