casing with verm
    #2245790 - 01/16/04 09:35 AM (20 years, 2 months ago)

Does anyone know if I can case 2 pf cakes with vermiculite. I would normally go and buy the materials but the cakes are ready and Im broke until next week. I have some extra verm left over from the brf mix I used for the substrate so I fugured I could use that to make a casing for the cakes. Also, If I did case with verm would I have to put it in the fruiting chamber or just cover it with celophane(spelling?) since the verm might keeep the humidity up. Any insight would be of help.

btw - Im using a small 1ftx1ftx6in rubbermaid tub to case the cakes in

Thats up to you. I've seen both ways work good.
