Pink perlite?

It seems to have popped up overnight, just a bunch of random pinkish perlite pieces throughout the sgfc, even in the bottom. I used h2o2 water when i hydrated the perlite, and it's only been 3 days since. I know h202 doesn't keep it clean i just want to clarify that it started out clean. I didn't use soap to wash the perlite or anything just rinsed with water and dunked in water/h202. Not sure what brand of perlite, could very well be miracle grow because I got it from an online vendor who just shipped it in a plastic bag inside a box.
Any thoughts or advice? I plan on baking or bleaching the perlite if or when it gets any worse.

maybe h2o2 oxidation of quinones leached from the fungus when misting, etc. (i.e. phenols)
also, the titanium dioxide (from volcanic ash) will act as an oxidizer / oxidation catalyst in combination with sunlight

hmm, that would have quinones in it too, for sure
also nitrate; looking it up perlite contains ferrous sulphate and in combination with nitrates forms a complex with a pink color, also some manganese ions and the sulphate
