Master cultures still Viable?

Hey guys, I stumbled across a gentlemen yesterday who has passed all his old master cultures on to me. He grew gourmet and medicinal of many variety successfully for years. I've included a couple pics but not sure what use they will be. Concern here is, many of these test tubes are dated back to late 1999 thru mid 2002 and have not been refrigerated for at least half of that. What are the odds that regeneration on agar is still possible. I'll list them below in 'first letter' order. Forgive me if some of the names are butchered, I'm not very familiar with these and the writing on their vials has deteriorated.
Abalone oyster Almond mushroom (clone) Beech oyster black morel brown swordbelt clustered wood lover ??cantrol ??c onbrol enokitake elm oyster FP GL (3) FP HE (8) GR Frondosa (15) Golden oyster giant cyprus agaricus (clone) ??GR tronkosa Hemlock Reishi Italian agaricus jumbo shiitake (clone) ??kurita (clone) king oyster L Edodes GVA (8) L edodes GVB (11) L Edodes jumbo (23) luminsecent mycena lions mane morel m-18 maitake WV MP A.B. (4) Nameko Pearl oyster pheonix oyster prince, the Reishi 34-D Royal sun agaricus reishi 7400 regal pleurotus STP pearl (9) shiitake W4 scaly lepiota shaggy mane wood ear
Again, forgive me if some names are butchered. The number I have of each tube is listed next to their name and, again, they are over 12 years old minimum.
alot of them are about this colonized

If there is no chance to salvage, looks like there's a lot of cleaning to do. If there is a chance they can be salvaged let me know. Thanks guys

So 3rd picture shows petris where you already transered mycelium from the tubes or do you still have to do that?
That is 1st step. My 2nd would be to check for any wooden stick if any slant has (I didn't see any in your pics tho). If you find it you have better chances of getting mycelium from it. 3rd step is to take out a bigger chunk of mycelium/agar and put it in sterile water. You can put wooden sticks in water if you have them. Than leave agar in water at room temperature until you see myelium "hairs" growing from agar or up to a month. Than transfer to petri, you can dip pieces in sterile tower papel to drain excess water.
Dat's what i'd do

The best thing to do would be to plate them and see if they grow. Some mushroom species will form asexual spores called chlamydospores in their mycelium which may help it to regrow. I don't think that is common though, I know of a few Ganoderma species with that feature.
If they weren't refrigerated for most of the time though there is a good chance none of them will recover.

Those petri's have Cubensis cultures. I have not transfered anything from any tubes yet. And none of them have wooden sticks inserted.
I appreciate the response guys, i figured i'd just have to try a few. I'll grab some of the most colonized and throw them on agar, see what happens. I guess some of these strains he monocultured and had consistently produced single gourmets of over 3lbs each. not sure which kind. I'll be back on in the next month with some results

if they were out at room temp on regular agar they are most likely dead. but you can always try and find out. I'm totally guilty of killing cultures but it's really pretty lazy to leave them out like that.

Yeah, this guy had been keeping them chilled for about 5 years then finally gave up all together. Then took them out. Unfortunately, another 5-8 years went by before trying to sell them. I'm all for saving the spores lol hate to even push liquid thru my needles to cool them

update: 4 masters now on agar
Also, I placed a slice of a Reishi on agar roughly 4 days ago and no growth. It is the same age.
Update again in a few days

I wonder how much time and money was invested in all of those cultures. How unfortunate. I'd be happy just to have the culture tubes though!
