Look at how big this chaga mushroom is

Found outside algonquin park on an ancient birch that somehow must have dodged logging in the early century, I was told the tree was dying anyway.
My dad found this while trapping fur. I had asked him prior to find me some for tea. I need a way to crush the cahga I have or I would like to consider making that tree healing paste out of the chaga. Is this thing worth anything intact, because it seems a shame to bust it up.

well i heard that if you perk your coffee in a press you can just add fine powder to the top so it makes for a nice cup.

here lies the issue, without a rock grinder the stuff is immensely tough to compact and you can essentially put some in a coffee can then the coffee can in a bucket[to prevent spillage] and use like a baseball bat or something to pulverize it.

Nice chaga! Probably too late to make it any easier, but I recommend chopping the chaga down to smaller pieces after harvesting when it's still soft.
But yea, that looks like a lump of chaga for a lifetime.

apprehensive towards breaking it into smaller pieces. I feel like I should use it for education or something, like sell chaga tea and have it as like a paper weight

sure didnt know that paul. that you could grow it. I've even read your book.
I appreciate that vid I'll say we wont be harvesting big pieces anymore maybe only harvest one of many sclerotia, because often times most where we may harvest the tree carries two or more bodies.
But again, We have this massive piece of chaga, I am not trying to sell it i have offered it free and free only to people i know and they always say as long as it doesnt make me high. I'm more in tune with mushrooms and i find a mild exctacy or exctatic heightened high, maybe is because i feel like suhc shit from sugar and coffee as a 50% of my diet, I would notice something good entering the temple.
The huge piece is still drying unless it is dry and it actually wieghs 30 lbs
like I have a 38 lb kettle bell that is barely distinguishable in weight to this piece of chaga. What should I do with some a ancient example of the mushrooms size, before turning it into coffee, tea, and tonic. I have heard you can treat trees with a kind of paste made from chaga, specifically I want to treat the beech in my area to see if they become resistant to the impending beech disease.
What you guys think what if i made this piece into a huge batch of chaga paste I could offer it to my friends stores, to help protect your area's beech trees? what you guys think of that?
also for sharing a cool video, check out octopus shape shifting on youtube
