I did a search for Malabar n nothing comes up. has anyone ever done these? I did 3 jars PF tek then made a slurry and put into WBS and these guys took about 6 days for 100% growth just wondering if anyone has done these and what was their turn out? also I had extra slurry left over and just left it in the jar with a polyfill filter in the TiT incubator you think that it will hold up or should I jus toss it? O today when I went to buy a brick of coir the guy had a huge bag of verm with a lil hole from his son so he gave it all to me for free!!! YAY

malabar is a cube variety, grows in the same conditions as gt and b+, sort of looks like a cambo and has spores like ecuador and gets as tall as aa+

I'm growing them now. I haven't had any issues so far.
Why do you make a slurry out of the cakes then transfer to seed? Why not just start with one or the other? I've never heard of doing that before... Then again there's a lot I don't know.

A slurry is like an LC... you can noc up 100s of grain jars with one brf cake.

Fancy.
High risk of contamination? I think I would make up more seed rather than store the slurry.
But that's just me.

You don't really store a slurry... you make it and use it immediately usually. One cake inoculating 100 jars doesn't seem like such a bad use of time.

If you're using LC/LI and have good technique, a PF cake can be colonized in like a week and requires nothing more than putting pf mix in a jar and PCing it. I dunno anything in this hobby that's not at least some amount of work. I use regular SFD lids and don't add a dry verm layer if I'm doing any kind of BRF thing though.
