Do these galindoi jars look normal?

First time through at galindoi, jars all MS inoculated.
25 day old pint jars, there are some obvious stones forming, but there are spots where the substrate (brown rice) is cracking apart and *very* brown, and I don't know if these are actually healthy or not, and there are also ridoes where it has pulled away from the jar some, and the tops of the ridges are the same brown color as a bacterial infection in an APE syringe I have.

13 day old quart jars, a couple of them have these spots which seem to be growing stones, but they are a different color than the stones in the pint jars that are up against the glass:

Looks a little bit wet in there.
Edit: That doesn't look like viable mycelium to me. I don't grow strange stuff so I can't put my finger on what it is. Maybe put this in the contaminates forum?

They're definitely fully colonized with galindoi mycelium, and I know from searching around here that galindoi goes brown, and that it definitely starts to look weird when it's growing stones, and there are definitely stones growing...
I just don't know if it's supposed to look *that* weird. oO
The condensation is pretty normal from what I've been able to find though.
No clue why I didn't think of the contam forum though. Lol

So I should not be concerned? Was thinking about opening one to smell, but don't want to introduce anything I don't have to. Lol

Wow I miss stones now, so much.
I've only done alt#7 and it was awesome, but these look good really awesome good.
Gonna try to search for the different lineages.

Correct me if wrong because I thought atl#7 and galindoi was the same?
If not my picture is atl#7. Which is what the print was labeled as.

I think alt#7 is a variety. I'm new to exotics though
I want both a wild-type galindoi and an alt#7 galindoi.
With my mexicana i also want to eventually get the jalisco variety because i only have chicon nindo.

How is your chicon producing? Mine is excellent. I hear it's not a great stone producer but mine is going strong. On par with tampanensis and galindoi (atl#7).

BTW..I'm new to these too so these are genuine questions.

That jar i posted pictures of above is the only one i have right now, i gave the other to my friend. It seems to be doing good and colonized faster than my shiitake but slower than pleurotus and cubes.
Even if i don't get stones its ok. I grow for SMS (Spent Mushroom Substrate) to compost and fun not really for psilocin. you can only trip so many times a year
Are your chicon on RGS? I've never use RGS for anything but should check it out.

Ok seriously if this is normal then I have to say these things look funky as shit while they're growing stones.
Updated pics of the original pint jars, that were all MS inoculations:

3 pints look all about the same. I started with 4, but used one of them to G2G 6 quarts, which have just started to do the same thing, turning a nasty brown color and developing cracks in the substrate. But they're also going batshit with the stones, at least on the outside of the jars.

None of the galindoi pics I've been able to find look anything like this, but to imagine the fuzzy brown that's taking over everything as a contamination and not just normal galindoi funkiness, I would have to imagine that all 4 original pints got the same contam even flaming the needle in between injections, *and* that the contam only took hold after the jars started heavy stone production, in every single one of 9 separate jars.
Not impossible let by any means, but seems pretty unlikely. In about 2 more weeks I'm going to crack open one of those pints and see what comes out, so I guess we'll see.

I have grown a lot of these and that is not like any I'm familiar with. I can only show a pic of a successful jar. I just think it looks "different".

I grew some P. Galindoi on rye grains in jars earlier this year. My jars looked just like yours do. Lots of condensation and funky brown/tan colors. You will know in a few months if they are good or not. The jars should smell like old stale mushrooms after you open them. If they smell pukey or rotten then you will know there is a bacterial contamination.

Would it be safe to open the jar and smell it since they are fully colonized? Or would this be a bad idea if i plan on spawning to bulk trays in a few months?
I'm so interested in whether or not my mexicana has any contams. It seemed clean on agar and no slime has developed in the jar but I am just so paranoid and curious

I've opened fully colonized jars before harvest just to look at it. No contams at all.

I've had jars look like that. It's completely fine. I think it's that certain mycellial threads get thicker while transporting nutrients to the screlotia and start to take a darker color like the stones. All the jars that look like this have been fine and contam free.
