What does your bottle look like? I use a liquor bottle and its pretty easy to pour from, when you're almost done pouring kinda twist the bottle like when your pour a glass of wine, so it doesnt drip.

If you're are pouring thru the cap, just make sure the lid is very clean. I dunno if it would really introduce contams in, but if you take the cap off the lip of the bottle underneath is sterile.

Id say if you are having trouble pouring maybe try a different style bottle instead!

Oh dude if you're using a sterilizer and opening it up in front of the hood and what not you'll be fine.
Honestly its probably fine either way, I just thought it might be something to consider

yea I had trouble when I first started pouring until I switched bottles. I put a hole inn my cap and an SFD under it mainly for PC reasons

Maybe Ill try pouring thru a hole in the cap see if I like your way!

Can you pc one of those liquor spouts in your bottle with some poly shoved in the hole? That seems more logical than a hole...except a hole is easier to come by than one of those.

So like pull the rubber off and fill the top of your bottle with RTV, then set the steel part in it to dry maybe...seems like a lot of work, but it'd probably work well for the sectioned petris...I'm gonna make one and see..

i just wait till its warm enough to hold w/o hand protection.  it is a little thicker, and much easier to pour evenly into plates.

after PS reaches 0, i wait 1 hour.  take out, swirl well, wait another half hour, swirl well, pour.

That's what I do...I just use a regular mouth quart jar... I was just brainstorming with them.

I did as the op describes with luck many times though I changed because it seemed like it was a bandaid on sterile procedure.

lol i know that feeling.  i still have to pour hot sometimes if I'm in a rush.
if u leave ur stack in front of a running hood for a few hours, the force actually helps blow out a lot of the condensation.  found that out a few weeks ago.  didn't have time to wait till it solidified so i left the house with them in front of running hood, and when i came back, it was all clear!
