I have been falling asleep lately with TV on… sometimes music channel sometime religious channel sometimes news….
And I find the sound produces guides my dreams.
I want to try something new, like rain forest sounds or sounds of rain or something soothing.
Any recommendations?

I do the same nightly. I always have hulu on watching south park or something similar. Kinda hard for me to tell if it is influencing my dreams though since im not sure what episodes were playing as I slept.
Im curious to experiment though now thAt you mentioned it. Would definitely like to hear some more experiences with this.

my friends were talking about this the other night...I have never tried it but now I think I have to. I'm pretty into dreaming, maybe some nice ambient music would serve me well.

I use two different apps sometimes to help me fall asleep. One is called Sleep Ambience (super specific, woo), but it has lots of premade tracks like rain forests, oceans, all that good stuff, and a huge library of samples so you can build your own tracks. I have one that has crickets and underwater sounds because fukkit, that shit is soothing.
The other one I use utilizes Binaural beats.. it has a lot of presets for things other than sleeping, like meditation, studying, creativity.. but the sleep beats never fails. It's definitely not as melodic as the first one, but it works. Good luck mang

It is known that dreams incorporate real noise into them. So you could succeed in influencing them with something like that.
However, I would suggest against falling asleep with the tv on. It inhibits melantonin production, which helps you to fall asleep, get well rested, break down free radicals (which are harmful to the brain), and support the immune system.
Getting rid of all blue light for a couple of hours will be very beneficial to you.

I have pretty much always listened to one thing or another while I sleep and I have the most vivid, intnese dreams I care to imagine.
Done everything from music, rain/thunderstorms to tv and now podcasts. Been doing Dan Carlin's Hardcore History this week, good way to pick up random general knowledge.
Not sure how directly you can influence dream content with intent, definitely doesn't hurt though, as long as you have the volume right. Top tip: don't have it too quiet as you tend to strain your ears to hear it and that can keep you awake trying to focus.

the only flash from last nights dream I remember is some russian guy setting an envelope of money on a desk while saying "payment, notes on philosophical differences, and biblical conspiracies."
