Question regarding sponsors

hey all, looking to get a few pre sterilised grain bags or pre inoculated grow boxes.. out of all the sponsors, which are in the EU, just looking for quick delivery to Ireland.
If replying to this isnt within the rules, a pm would do.
Regards.

You are probably going to get some grief for wanting a grow kit
Most people will tell you that you cannot trust someone else's work as well as your own

true enough, and i dont doubt that.. ive recently had a spell of bad luck with grain jars, they are fine until about 80% and then boom i get grey fuzz.. what i dont understand is they are all done in an autoclave!
Im just looking for something quick and easy for now, but will continue on my quest to get my jars right

Sounds more like dirty inoculant than bad grains. If you haven't get some agar and drop your spores so you can be sure of what you're putting in your jars. If you're using poly make sure it's stuffed really tight.
Not sure about EU sponsos. I think you can order colonized spawn over the web in the UK.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Its most likely your innoculant , if the jars were autoclave properly Im sure they were sterile, but if you inoculated them with say, a spore syringe then there is a large chance that you introduced contams from the syringe. Its usually best to inoculate grains with a clean culture on agar media .
So dont order pre sterilized grain bags and expect they will be fine if you inoculate with a syringe.
If thry are legal in Ireland you may as well order a pre colonized kit in that case

You can use grainwater agar with that instead of potato flakes, I hear they might be hard to come by in Ireland In all seriousness, just save some of the grain soak/simmer water (top of the pot is better.) Grainwater can be diluted quite a bit, not sure what factor I like. Not sure if minirounds are available in Ireland or if they are overpriced. Any Polypropylene (PP, recycling code 5 in US) container will do, just try and find small + cheap ones.
25ml liquid (grainwater + water) .5g agar powder = 1/8th tsp as long as it's ground fine
Dump that in each container, PC 30 mins, and you're good to go.
Probably best not to mess with LC, it requires the best sterile technique of any method.
Agar to grains works just fine. Give it a good hard shake (30s after dropping the wedge.) This will smear the mycellium off the plate all over the place and can colonize much faster than a regular wedge drop and 20-30% shake.
I would look at LI and Slurry over LC if you want some godly inoculation power later on.

I can only get shitty weak growth on gw agar for some reason. Much healthier faster growth on the potato flake recipe.

I get a shitton of tometose growth out of strains that will go rhizo on grains. I'm currently operating under the assumption that I need to drop the nutritional value to get faster rhizo growth (read that somewhere on here.)
I'll be curious to see the results as I go on.
Edit: Hmm, I wonder if the grainwater agar, lacking potato flakes and syrupy shit, just needs to be made a little bit harder to get that faster rhizo growth.

Lower nutes will cause rhizo growth yea
I don't really like PDA much it doesnt cook as clear as MEA for me. A 5$ bag of Malt Extract is llasting me for ages too
I do use PDA though to switch out my cultures on every now and then
