Anyone have dermal piercings!

I'm thinking about getting some.
Any experiences? Any recommendations?
Do they hurt more than regular piercings? Harder to care for? Higher chance of complication, even after healing? Were you happy with them? Were they expensive?

Well there's half your answer. I can't imagine it hurting more... I'll stop there and leave. I'm sorry. I wanted to finish that statement but my better half cut me o-, I'll just tiptoe out of this thread.
I'm sorry.

I love piercings! Ive had 2 lip rings and an eyebrow ring since I was 16 and they have never impacted my life negatively. It barely means a thing to employers anymore, or maybe thats just the industry im in, Im in horticulture greenhouse grower specifically.

I know a chick with dermal a in her back dimples and dermis in her pelvic bones. She's stupid sexy and wears them very well.
One of my buddies has a dermal on his collar bones which are actually pretty cool.
I've asked how it felt a while back and both of them said it was a lot of prodding sensations but not necessarily painful.

The most romantic moment of my life was when a girl's hair was caught in my earrings, and mine in hers. It was like some shit from a movie.

I need to look her up. I bet she's either gotten way hotter, or fat.

I barely like piercing on women. Whenever I see pierced nose or something it's a huge turnoff. You're right it's not much different then tattoos but imo one is much more appealing then the other.

I can dig any type of ear piercing except gauges that are like...HUGE..Like anything more than 2 fingers wide is just crazy to me. Tongue and nipple piercings are great. Belly buttons. nostril piercings are cool, I like the hoops better than studs. Not sure how I feel about lip piercings, depends on the person I guess. Eyebrow piercings are nice.
I absolutely do not like septum piercings, bridge piercings (the part of the nose between your eyes), or cheek piercings
I've seen some chicks with dermal piercings, and they look fine to me on the lower back and on the V-shape on the abs
This is just my change from the dollar I paid the cashier for my groceries that cost 98 cents total

Dermal piercings seem like they would hurt for a bit. I'm actually a bit curious on how they do it, and how deep they go.
When my dad was in highschool, he would put safety pins under his skin and wear them on his arms and stuff
I like peircings though. I have my ears pierced and my septum.

They kinda make two holes and put an anchor in. It's designed so the skin grows onto it and holds it. Not deep, just under the surface.

That's pretty crazy someone thought to do that. It'd be so wierd to feel that small chip of metal right under. Like what would it feel like when it's healed? I'd probably mess with it alot.

I don't see the appeal, I don't even see any of them that look cool. Also seems like mostly a girl thing not to mention it is not functional in anyway and could easily injury you.
I do not think this is a good idea.

I didn't read the entire thread but i am assuming i am the only one who has actually had a dermal so here's your answer
It depends on your pain tolerance
For me it didn't hurt anymore than getting cartilage pierced. HOWEVER, i got rid of all my piercings and dermals HURT LIKE A FUCKING BITCH COMING OUT. Going in, fine. Coming out, fuck that shit.
But really it depends on ur pain tolerance. Relate it to tattoos. Everyone has specific spots that they think hurt more than others.
When i got my wrist tattooed, the dude next to me was cringing like omg how does that not hurt u. Meanwhile, he was sitting like a champ getting a fucking chest piece and i was saying the same thing to him
Everyone is different.
My advice is if u want a dermal get one. The pain doesn't last any longer than your lip or eyebrow and if u ever need 2 take it out, it hurts like a bitch for 5 measly minutes and then you are fine.

Also, i think piercings are fucking stupid now and took them all out after highschool.
Do u c yourself at age 50 with dermals? I didn't. And IMO the pain of taking it out wasn't worth it and i wouldn't go back and do it again bcus it never felt all that great having a piece of metal stuck under my skin

I've got two in my face, one on the collar bone and one on each leg. Will be planning on getting more
It's not very painful, more the thought of it that makes it worse. They heal up very quickly - I've never had to give them any after care.
You aren't aware they are there and never feel like playing with them like a normal piercing due the fact the skin grows around the piece undernesth so they don't budge.
