Using a yeast starter stirplate for LC?
    #22449923 - 10/29/15 04:39 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Would a yeast starter stir plate be powerful enough to stir/break-up LC? I'm specifically interested in the Stir Starter (http://www.stirstarters.com/) I just want to make sure it's powerful enough for a quart of LC. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you

Pretty sure that will work, i've seen other posts where people have talked about building stirrers with cpu fans and magnets. It's not going to take a ton of power to break up a LC.

Based on your title I was expecting to see a question about using yeast in an LC :lmafo:

I searched for DIY stir plate and found this thread which linked to a search for stirrers. The first link has a good tutorial on building a cheap one similar to what you linked. I like the idea of being able to adjust the speed.
