Effect of thin casing layers
    #2244976 - 01/15/04 10:47 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I'm only putting about 1/2 of the recommended depth of casing material on the substrate. I need to get deeper trays. Should I expect any fruiting problems or anything because of this? So far the casing seems to be doing well.

your 2nd or 3rd flush will probably be a bit smaller but nothing to worry about

If you patch case a little between flushes it might help. I wouldn't bounce it though (induce collonization conditions again then re-inuce fruiting).

I am going to scratch it and patch it after this flush.

It would if you put it back in the incubator after casing.
