Extending the Life of a Mostly Spent Montotub

Hey all, long time lurker here. I love the search function.
This is more of a personal interest question before I do anything dumb.
I have B+ monotub that produced well into the 4th flush. It also was (and is) my last tub for at least a month due to circumstance.
I can finally see a contam on one portion of it, probably trych honestly. Has not produced new pins in 3 days.
I was wondering if there are any crazy/weird way to get the cake to produce more before I toss it in the compost pile? Obviously misting and fanning and correct temps.
Tl;dr: Basically, how could I try and help the tray produce more? or is the lack of further pinning under (semi) ideal conditions with trych present a sign to just let her go?
Thanks guys!

I did see a thread where this guy put salt and a wet paper towel or w/e to kill/slow trich down. But I think this was for a casing layer contam. You could always try surgery but at 4th flush id doubt that ur seeing all the problems your tub has. Trich is one ravaging bitch. Maybe make a slant with a piece of clone so you can continue your grow whenever you can. I love living cultures compared to spores. So much faster

Thankfully I took prints and clones from this tray, they were genetically blessed
But yeah I've heard hot wax too can cover some violent contams.
I might try it but I was all but ready to lay her to rest when I made the post.
Thanks so far!

IME there are two ways you can get trich.
One is little bits of mushroom tissue rotting on the surface of the tub from previous harvest, and usually look like very small spots. I've simply picked them off and continued fruting with perfectly normal results.
If it's coming from inside/under the substrate, it's pretty much done.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I think it came from mush rot then. Molds have been overtaking the aborts (or whatever the lil guys who shrivel and turn black are called) for a while. I noticed it originally two days ago when a perfectly good looking fruit (with minor green patch around it) basically disintegrated/mushed when picked.
But yeah, RIP super tray. Really I was just making sure there wasn't a last ditch attempt to get some healthy fruits (like a reproductive survival instinct or something).
Thanks a lot yall!

You could try putting it outside if temps are not too cold.
Trich has a hard time in the outdoors or so I read

Sure its old as fuak but I saw this being discussed in cultivation of the day posts a few weeka ago. Said user said it stopped trich dead in its tracks and had a beautiful flush all around. No luck finding it though. Theres over 700 pages in that thread lol

I'd say toss it otside and cover it in a small amount of dirt(or a better casing) and let it fruit. I've done this with contaminated tubs and I got around 2 more ounces dry from the little outdoor grow.

trich is parasitic to mycelium, the stuff you see on top is just the tip of the ice berg.
what's left after a 4th flush to salvage anyway?

No what I'm saying already said is that I saw a post that salting might help stop trich on a casing. I was just pointing out something I read so maybe he might research it if he needs. You know..being helpful and shit.

you can find a lot of bad info from back in the days using the search engine but that doesnt mean you should show it to other people, I'm not sure its helpful at all, rather detrimential.
