Corners that cut back

So about a week ago I decided to make a spore syringe, and during the steam sterilization of my shot-glass, some moisture appears to have gotten into the shot-glass. Rather then start over, I got frustrated and made the syringe anyways. I've had to toss eight substrates this week.
Don't cut corners.. It's fucking stupid, and you're only hurting yourself.
Made a SAB last night, and hoping to start a fresh syringe this afternoon.

Steam sterilize a shot glass? wut
Probably had more to do with the "making it in open air" than whatever moisture you're talking about.

Don't you uh... put water in the shotglass to make the syringe anyway? Wouldn't a little water in there be perfect? Maybe not understanding..

It was dry before I put it into the steam, but I put it upside down so the steam wouldn't get into the glass, and ironically enough it did anyways. A warm moist place is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria, innit? Generally I just sanitize using some rubbing alcohol, and I've never had a problem, but I wanted to try doing things by the book, and I fucked up I guess. Unless this house is just filthy or something.

I don't think the inside of a PC is a good breeding ground for bacteria though, so it was never an issue I imagine. Did you just cover them in foil? I would wrap it in foil and put it inside of a pp5 container if you have one big enough, and sterilize that. I have a few tall pasty plate type containers that would be perfect for doing that. That way the pp5 is what's keeping it sterile until you open it in a SAB, and the foil is just a little extra security for when you're handling it.

Personally, I sterilize the syringe and water for the syringe separately from the shot glass. Generally I only sanitize the shot-glass. This was my first attempt at getting it sterile, and it kind of back-fired as far as I can tell. The pp5 doesn't sound like a bad idea though, I was considering that earlier while I was wrapping the shot-glass. The water should just be steaming up here shortly.

I PC mine with other tools, and the tools still get flamed.
Edit: Sounds like he held it in steam?
Right and wouldnt the water in the PC be sterilized?
Might contain some nutes from other cooks.
Edit: oh, it was PC'ed. Prob not your issue then.

Technically it was steam sterilized in a large cooking pot; I don't have a pressure cooker
Think I need to customize the SAB to contain some LED lights too, as I can't see a damn thing in there.

That could be why then yeah.
When I was doing a lot at once, I've had to sanitize glasses with iso when I ran out of shot glasses and that has worked fine.

I should probably turn off the stove then and just do what works for me until I get a damn PC
