Goku mutent or humidity problems?
    #22446702 - 10/28/15 09:19 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Hey guys i took a couple month break from growing nd now im back. My tubs all are healthy my jars all clean aswell. But i just cant seem to dial in my fruiting now. I was able to harvest about an oz to an oz nd a half off each first flush from a tub, but now its seeming like i can barely get a fraction of that. I did switch my strain, i was with aa+ pumping them out, than i switch to what i believe is either Cambodians or Argentinas so if you know please say so. But yeah alot of my caps keep turning into goku hair styles nd spiking out. Is this just a crazy mutation? Or is my humidity just fucking wverything up? Thank you guys so much!! -Kushroom

Why are the grains still exposed? Did it not fully colonize before popping out fruits? If so that would be a sign that your tub is contaminated. If there is no visible mold growing, it could be bacterial. What does it smell like inside the tub?

Umm im not quite sure, didnt smell bad when i spawned it smelled like fresh mushies, nd none of mine seem to full cover before they start pinning but everything is clean, the spawn is bacterial free, maybe its my sub prep? Ive been using 1qt of coco coir nd verm nd a half qt of water to every qt of spawn, nd mixing them up nd 6qt tubs. Im thinking bout switching to a new strain so should i just try a mono with the new sub i preped tonight?

Edit- Smells like a faint smell of mushrooms from the mushies nothing other than that. Nd my rooms dark ill upload a new pic, its pretty covered.

This maybe disheartening but if your grains don't recover, they are contaminated. The only way that I can see grains not recovering, but aren't contaminated, is if your spawn jars are lacking sufficient water. But you can throw that notion out the window as soon as you spawn them to a bulk substrate. My guess is bacteria is the culprit.

Umm, idk i think its gotta do with my spawn cause i can shake that nd shake it nd it always recovers within that day or the next. Idk i havent changed my tek from back when only improved my sterilization so idk?

What tek do you follow for prepping ur sub? ive tried the bucket tek before with minimum success in the past so now ive switched to baking my stuff at 170f for 2 nd a half hrs

I looked at that tray and wondered why his is still clean. If that was in my room, it'd be green in under 24 hours

Also yeah they're dry pins.

I dunno, to me it looks like dry grain prep. Which is why its prob not green. It looks the same where it fruited, which are on the sides.

I wonder if you took the a sample from it, if it would feel almost like dry dirt.
