Is this how cube mycelium should look on agar after 6 days?
    #22446144 - 10/28/15 06:45 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Thanks for looking at this everyone, anyways this is my first grow and i've done a bit of reading but i can't find out what this is or find any pics of any cube mycelium like it.  6 days ago i inoculated some petris using a spore print and an inoc loop. The print was only about 3/4 of an inch wide and had a pretty light spore print. Im hoping its just slow but i'm also starting to doubt its cube growthj. I got it from a free spore ring so i don't really know if it is what it is, but the myc. is almost invisible and at first i thought it was bacteria but i looked at it under a light and it has a branch like growth pattern and its only growing from where i touched the spores. It's also the only growth i can see in all of the plates. Has anyone ever seen cube mycelium start like this?

it can look faint at first.  slow is ok IMO.  means probably not mold.

ur flash makes it difficult to make out.

Try taking a piece to another dish and you should get better results if any. Spores germinated on agar will sometimes look pretty messed up at first
