LONG FRUITING TIME
    #22445377 - 10/28/15 03:17 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Hello,
I haven't done the PF tek in a while. I am in Colorado and recently decided to do a small scale 10 jar grow. I placed the colonized cakes in a FC about three weeks ago and they still will not fruit. I see some white knots and no contams, but no fruit. Temp is around 65 give or take a few degrees and the FC has plenty of humidity. Growing Amazon strain. Could it be the altitude? I'm perplexed. Any ideas on what to do.

I just put 8 of them back in baggies to rehydrate them to see if that will work. They seemed heavy with water though. I'll take them out tonight after 5 hours of soaking and roll in verm. (did not do this initially) and left 2 to see if they will do anything.

Could be temps. It's a bit on the low side, but I have grown in that range. They were slow, but still 3 weeks is a long time. Have any pics of the setup?

Wow! 10,000th post!

Anyways, I've had it take upwards of a month to produce fruit; I know that isn't normal, but it's not unheard of for them to take a long time. They smell okay and all?

Yeah; I had some once that went well into a month+ to fruit. I meant to throw them away, but just never got around to it. Then One day, I was like, "holy balls! There be fruit on them there cakes!"

Sorry for the delay,  work and shit you know. They spit out a few more and are still some, but 2-4 out of the ten only. They look/smell fine but just not producing a "flush". The spores I ordered did have a 3 year old date on them and were partly used, fuckers! Would that make a diff? I have a GC strain I haven't tried yet, these were the amazon strain.

I would think as long as the spores colonized the age of the syringe won't matter.

This.

As long as they aren't contaminated, let them do their thing, and stop being impatient.
