Is Containation of Established Mycelium Possible?

Hello,
My friend's jars of grain, vermiculite, rice flour mix have been colonizing for almost 30 days now without event; and are almost ready for casing.
I have noticed however that in one jar there has appeared a fairly large blotch of pink/off white medium in an area that has been fully colonized from at least day 7. This blotch is about an 1-1/2" in diameter, and there are no humidity droplets around it as is common around the insides of other areas of my jars. Is it likly that this is a drying/dying a the Mycelium network in this area, or is contamination of a pre-colonized area of grain spawn a possibility?
I have read through the FAQ, and his discoloured area does not sound like any of the mold varieties.
Any advice would be appreciated as this is his first grow.
Thanks!

Hello again,
I have since tossed the jar, but first I took a pic for the purposes of scientific interest.
Did I do the right thing?

I agree with KreeprCeepr. Most probably mycelium piss. You should be ok, just keep an eye on that jar and see if it grows. As precaution, don't use that section when making the casing.
