* Habitat What kind of trees were nearby? Low bushes, no trees nearby.
  What was it growing from?  Growing in soil, small shoots of grass in places
    * Location Where in the world was it? Kent, UK

    * Gills What do they look like?  Always try to take photos that show the gills of both young and mature mushrooms.
Some dark, some light.

    * Scent of the mushroom
Smells of normal eating mushrooms!

Hi WilliamsSii,
Sorry about that. Are you sure none of those are liberty caps? I thought they most of them were livery caps! :smile:

Still don't see any libs sorry. Lots of Panaeolus and Mycena.

Looks for dark, purplish gills, a nipple, a flexible creamy-white stem that bends around a finger without breaking and a dark purple-brown sporeprint. The caps are brown-olive in colour, slimey when moist and fresh and turn a sandy, light golden colour when dry. They also have vertical lines going down the cap when fresh.
