Hi I found these in a grassy field which also had thistles, nettles and clovers. The grass has been wet in the mornings and I soaked my shoes walking through. There has been plenty of sunshine the last couple days. Not sure if animals ever graze the fields, there wasn't any this last week. It is late October tho not many frosty mornings yet. Attached are photos. I'd like to take these over a friends house in 3 days upon positive identification. How should I store them? Should I dey them? Please note number 1 is already dried I picked that a couple days ago. Many thanks in advance.

I'm same as you just started and I suck at drying haha, leave em out on some kitchen roll/paper towels- try have a warm room with good ventilation of not window works fine, if you have money and time you should invest in a dehumidifier sucks all moisture out of them. Once they are as dry as they possibly can be store them in an air tight container, if you have silica gel or any of the little packets that come with shoes clothes etc they work very well also if it's your first time..don't fear the bugs embrace them!

If they have nothing living in them then they probably keep fresh for as long as any other mushrooms would, in the fridge.

Sorry went out picking XD got 30 fresh today I'll get a pic up at some point, you can't really store them wet, if you leave then in plastic bag or sealed container the bugs love it n eat all your shrooms then the mould sets in n finishes it off, if your having them same day it's fine but if your going to have a planned trip then dry n store them

just throw them under a fan overnight; works just as well as a dehydrator for small quantities

No not 100% overnight but its definitely better than air dry if you have nothing else. My libs usually take two days to get cracker ish.
