Benefits of Liquid Culture?

I was recently reading this tek for LCs: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5238137/fpart/1/vc/1
I don't understand why anyone would go to the hassle of creating LCs instead of inoculating substrate with spore solution.
If I understand correctly, LC inoculation results in faster colonization. But it takes a week to create the LC. So is there any net benefit? Quicker? Less contams? Higher yield? Let me in on the secret.
This is coming from a guy who is no longer a noob, but still learning and asking dumb questions.

The liquid culture had live mycelium growing in it...so instead of innoculating with spores and waiting for them to germinate and hoping it will be contam free, you will be confident in knowing it's clean inoculant and no germination period... it's already rocking before it ever hits the grains...that being said, if your sterile procedure is not top notch, I wouldn't advise fucking with LC

Oh man. You have A LOT to learn. Inoculation via spores is stupid. But to answer your question, lc is lightening fast...once you're on a cycle

You can make as much of it as you want...
The week is worth the wait if it means you aren't bound to using spore syringes each time.

The benefit is that once you isolate a good producing strain it can be grown indefinitely either in LC or agar.
With LC you can easily and quickly inoculate multiple jars, bags etc

Can you use LC with PF tek (i.e., BRF substrate in jars)? Thinking I might give LC a try.

Slow down there slick.
A clean LC is infinitely more effective and faster than spores. You have to get into agar before you can reliably produce clean LC though.

when LC is clean, is it always faster to inoc grains vs. other methods.
to get a verified clean LC, and maintain it thru time, is usually the hard part.
