Panic attack on acid :/
    #22441031 - 10/27/15 04:57 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Took some acid earlier, noticed my heart rate was VERY fast, and now this has sent me into a pretty nasty little panic attack thing. Any help?

Is it ok for hearts to beat that fast on acid?

man I'm gonna feel dumb about this tomorrow.

It's normal for acid to increase your heart rate.  You'll be fine.  Put on some chill music and relax

You are fine! Just ride it out. Nothing is physically wrong I promise! I have panic attacks quite often. They never last long. Just let go and flow with it. It will pass very soon. Go take a walk and enjoy some fresh air, or listen to some of your favorite music. The grateful dead usually helps me through them.

Take 10 deep breaths. Focus on your breath. You won't have a heart attack. You will be just fine. Good vibes.

Your heart might not even be beating fast you might just be fucosing on it too much. Just relax your on a drug that WILL wear off.

Get a blanket and lie down close your eyes listen to some phish.

You'll be fine man. I have had that happen a couple of times with LSD. It really scared me at the time, but withing an hour or so I was in a really good place and really enjoying the trip. I can't even really explain what caused it; it was the same acid I'd had countless times before and since then--just that one time freaked me out for a bit.

Lie down in blankets and focus on your breathing. Slow deep breaths. Perhaps change rooms/environment? Sometimes a warm shower or bath can help. Play calming music or just nature sounds in the background. You'll be fine. Just stop thinking about your body except for slowed breathing

That video is doing great for me mentally man, but physically I can't stop shaking, is there any reason why acid would cause this?

Like I said, it happened to me once too. It was the violent shivers that worried me so much. You'll be fine though. It will stop within an hour or so at the most.

Tasteless. I've tripped on these before. Pretty sure they're acid.

It's actually a really awesome looking trip apart from the shivvers that I can't stop. Wondering it's it's something to be actually concerened about.

It's nothing to be concerned about. LSD has many many side effects. Try and relax. It will pass in short order.

That's the spirit.  The shivers are nothing to be concerned about, ignore it and enjoy the really awesome looking trip you're having.  I think you'll end up with some great material for a trip report  :psychsplit:

Eat protein. I bet you haven't bad enough food/nutrients today and you can't tell because you are high on acid.

It's normal to have muscle twitches, and shivers. LSD also increases your heart rate. This all sounds normal, nobody has ever died directly from lsd. Find something to focus on, like drawing or dancing! Trust us, you'll be fine.

Do you have any reason to believe you're having a heart attack? Do you have symptoms when you're sober?

If not I'm sure you're fine, find something to focus on, play an instrument if you have any. This helped calm me down last Saturday i was feeling the same as you...almost made a thread myself lol but i went and played the tablas and that instantly brought my heart rate down.

Thanks, all good now.

I took just one of what I thought was a 130ug tab.
Like I said I've had this same stuff before, and this time for some reason it really just kicked the living shit out of me, I had a definite ++++ experience.

I can't figure out how it ended up being so intense though.

I thought i knew LSD until tonight.
Shit gets a whole new level of insane....

Haha glad it worked out ok. I had a few bad experiences similar to yours. But it was due to taking super high doses too often. Like once a week. The physical effects became worse and I was panicing for awhile. I've learned to make the set and setting perfect, be around people I like or just alone, only trip on L once a month max, stay positivr, meditate, keep a calm environment,  and have a benzo on hand. If not, don't run around frantically. Try to lay down in something warm, like a bath and slow your breathing down. Perhaps close your eyes and focus on anything besides your body. Lsd puts you into fight or flight mode. And the more often you do this, the more negative the trips become IME. glad you're ok though
