I don't see any knotting yet, is that a casing layer or is that just the bulk sub? The mycelium looks okay, but it could still use a little more FAE.

You'll know when you see knotting. It's freakin glorious! You'll see hundreds of little white balls scattered along the substrate Good luck and keep us updated! That myc looks real healthy though! Sometimes it can be tough to spot when the myc gets fuzzy like that so just be patient and you will be rewarded.

Don't stress too hard on the humidity...especially with that casing layer, the casing is providing a microclimate for the primordia to form...worry more about FAE,and keep them fuckers glistening...I don't see any beads of moisture on the surface, and the uncolonized casing looks light brown, like it's drying.

True, however that looks like it is starting to show signs of overlay.
That can be caused by high CO2 and low humidity and moisture.
You could always sprinkle a thin layer on the matted parts; it might help.
If it overlays, the casing won't be able to do its job.

There are hundreds of knots in those pics. Try misting it to knock down that mycelium. The you will really start to see them.

Except cubes don't overlay. Pans do for sure. So do buttons. But not cubes. That's why casings with cubes are optional. And when myc pokes through the casing, it'll just pin on it like as if there was no casing to begin with.
Op up the fae and mist it. Like loc, psilo, and tahoe all suggest.

It would still pin, assuming it doesn't totally dry out.
Meaning: it should pin. Prolly not as good a pinset, though
The only reason I think it's bad is it defeats the purpose of the casing layer.
