Here is my experience on a personal experiment.
I use to watch a lot of horror / devastating disturbing movies and drank a lot of Jack Daniels at the time and would black out, and turn into a horrible person. (I believe what you take in through your eyes and ears determines your true subconscious)
I quit Jack Daniels and also stopped watching or listening to anything negative,,,, I only take in comedy or feel good kind of music, etc.
I have blacked out a couple times since then, and each time my girlfriend says I was the happy funny guy (even though I can't remember)
So point being, I proved to myself that what you take in through your eyes and ears determines what is in your soul / subconscious.
If any horror fans that take it in on a regular basis disagree with me, please drink a fifth of Jack Daniels with a babysitter to take notes on what type of mood you are in. Then take in only comedy and positive music for months and try it again.

yah the romantic acting was horrible. I think rick does pretty good acting, episode 3 of this season when he was running and in the camper at the end all seemed legit and made you feel like u were there.
that fucking glen, that dude couldn't even die right. was anyone going WTF as his guts were being pulled out and he didn't even look in pain? he looked more curious than anything like oh....thats what guts look like

The first two (Only ones out with a roommate who loved it) came off that way to me personally.
@moonshoe Many dark comedies have good, to sometimes very insightful IMO ways of looking at life's worst.

Yes I think there's something to that. And if its a single show, its not such a big thing, but when it becomes a trend, and all the things you watch are similarly dark, it can't be good for you. Of course, that's mostly what I watch between shows like Narcos, Hannibal, Game of Thrones, The Wire etc kinda hard not to have a negative worldview when all the media you take in is utterly dark
