Hi, so this is my first post here and my first time delving into anything more than the MMGG or PF tek's BRF cakes so... forgive me if I sound like a noob. I just found these two guys growing next to a 5 gallon bucket that I had thrown a jar of contaminated WBS into and forgotten about.
They were growing outside next to a botched WBS jar that I threw out because it was funking up the place with this black mold/black dust here
and... I only opened the jar (and then dropped it and ran like hell when black dust started rising out of the jar like a killer fog) because I saw this:
It looked like there was some white myc that was tempting enough to risk opening the jar but when the black cloud started rushing at me I just dropped the jar in the bucket and got the hell out of there.
I am wondering:
-Is this the same black mold that can ruin a property value if it takes hold of a house? -Was it dumb to open the jar in the first place or even dumber to spread the contaminated WBS along my front porch after I found those two mushrooms? -Can anyone tell me if those two mushrooms with the blue/green gills in my pic are what I am 99% sure are my cubies?
That black jar in the pic was knocked up with probably 5x the normal amount of MS innoculant from a spore syringe I made myself (by simply chopping off a cap into a baggie waiting for spores to drop and punching a syringe through the plastic), the jar was made using one of the no-PC teks I found on here and probably too many other things to pinpoint where it went wrong... so I ain't worried about that. Plus I finally got me a PC and a Schmuvbox so it won't happen again. But it sure would be nice to have a seasonal outside grow that can overcome black mold and wont make any person or animal sick from being in contact with it....

Now I am scared of these again.... I wikki amanita and get names like the Death Cap and Destroying Angel. The odd thing is I have never seen any mushrooms growing in this part of my yard... and I would have noticed... until I opened that jar of contaminated WBS... and these guys pop up a few days later with bright blue/green gills right next to the 5 gallon bucket I dump that jar in...the stems are dirty so I couldn't tell what color they bruise but they are a bit darker ..... here is another pic and thanks for the response... I probably won't eat these

Stachybotrys, a.k.a. the toxic black mold (that isn't even toxic)?
I can't tell what it is from the picture. A lot of mold can appear black: Stachybotrys spp, Aspergillus niger, Rhizopus spp., Alternaria spp., Cladosporium resinae... As far as common contaminants go, Rhizopus is probably the most likely next to Aspergillus niger. It will appear "peppered" with tall aerial structures.

Eh, it really depends on how careful your intentions were and where you opened it. If you have a clean room dedicated to this stuff and spread spores all over it that would suck but probably nothing a 2% bleach solution can't help.
