Thanks for clarifying... so it is more common to have tomentose myc with the pans?

My plates? Yea its been my experience its 3 D and fluffy a lot, kind of irregular borders. I have only worked with it so much but say I have low nutes in my agar my cubes will go Rhizo and pans will still be nice and fluffy

APE. I'm still trying to perfect the genetics. Got killer PE boner culture, now I just want huge APEs. I think I got it, but it's still on agar.

huge apes come in 2nd-4th flush. and do really well with dunks.
Some Cornmeal Plate Liquid Inoculation AA+ tubs coming along nicely! This is with medium polyfil stuffed in all holes the entire process. so there are two experiments going on at once.(as usual, it calms the mind) no poly was loosened or anything. i placed it in at spawning. left the tubs to colonize with poly in.(done in a closet with little airflow) once casing was 30-50% i induced into fruiting by turning the fan and light on.

So. I was totally supposed to have pics tonight of my new X petri dishes that finally came in, with my first attempt at pouring agar, with transfers of my first baby galindoi stones and my first APE transfer trying to clean up what I have waffled back and forth about but which I am now pretty sure is a very contaminated syringe.
And as I'm pressure cooking my agar (in a Porter's Fire liqueur bottle, which is delicious in redds green apple by the way, way better than fireball) and getting ready for an evening of firsts, I had the brilliant idea of celebrating the evening with a little bit of sampling of my produce, not a lot, just a little bit.
So.
Um.
I had just enough time to turn the stove off before disappearing into auditory and visual craziness where my last rational thought was "oh. So this is where the music comes from", that I cannot describe other than holyshitfuckballs and yes, I'm pretty sure that's where it comes from.
Fast forward to now. Pretty sure my agar has cooled solid, and all I have to show for the evening is an anecdotal bit of evidence suggesting that smaller than normal produce might be slightly more potent by weight than you're expecting.
And right now I think this is fucking hilarious because I *know* I'm not the first one to attempt to do mushroom work on mushrooms.
Tomorrow night I might have totally pedestrian pics of things that are new and exciting to me to share, but apparently tonight is not that time.
Also, holyshitfuckballs.
