What is this white bubbly stuff?

This cake is fruiting a bit weird to me but its growing. There is white bubbly like stuff and I used the red arrows to point them out. But there is also a mushroom growing but doesn't appear to have a "cap" to it...The white bubbly stuff under the down arrow is growing, very slowly, and them orange specks appeared 2 days ago. And this cake has been in fruiting chamber for about 5 days now. But the white bubbly stuff appeared before the pins did. The first time around when I birthed it it didn't grow and alot of bruising appeared and it was in the chamber for nearly 2 weeks. I corrected the problem and after a re-dunk its growing beautifully with no new bruising.

thank you for the responses!

I'm not sure that will change its DNA...

blobs are phenotypic. genotype is unchanged.

You know genetics cause phenotype, right o.O?
Besides -- no.
It's......... genetic
I'm reading the journal article that explains this in my other tab.
I'll post a link -- I'm just curious where you are getting your information, first.

i'm kind of lost now...
As I interpret the responses I have received, the source of this mushroom via spore syringe has been genetically modified and causing mutation????
I fan for 15 minutes three times a day then mist, so is Mushiez saying i should fan for longer?
As of this very moment I am fanning and my biggest mushroom is starting to turn blue. Why is that?

Everything has different genetics. Genetic variation and growth patterns caused the mounds to form. There is a genetic trait though, and this can be demonstrated through simple experiments with breeding. This explains what you are seeing in detail: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC388776/?page=1
Re: the mushroom turning blue - maybe you are drying it out?
If you are fanning it so much it is turning blue I'd stop before that.
It's not helping much, anyway... It can help remove lingering unwanted gases but 15min. is a bit excessive, IMO.
Whatever the case, it doesn't seem to like it too much.
