I'm gonna come back at you with a question real quick before I answer... why do you fan?

Fanning is only good for purging CO2 from unmodified totes and making me feel like an idiot Retard magic. Hypothetically it jumpstarts evaporation by bringing in a bunch of dry air after misting. I think I'd assume just mist a bit less, not fan, and have a more constant evap rate.
Well, I would suggest laying off the misting for say, 8 hours, come back, evaluate the water on the surface. I don't know that I have any references for cutting them in half, but it will expose fresh mycellium that hasn't been dried out and disrupt the network as little as possible. I guess you could also just slice off like the top 1/4" and do the same thing. I'd give'm a few more days before trying that if you even want to.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

@Loc: no good reason other than various threads talking about insane amounts of fanning. Mostly asked in order to learn more about the troubleshooting process more experienced folks are using, since the better I understand the *whys*, the better results I'm probably going to get. (Also it helps sift through conflicting opinions like "not enough FAE" vs "stop fanning!"

FAE and fanning are in no way shape or form interchangeable.

Did not know that! So my understanding of FAE is that it was primarily for CO2 venting, though people talk about whether a setup has enough FAE to prevent condensation from forming on the walls of a SGFC, which makes FAE sound a lot like airflow
My understanding of fanning was also to vent CO2, and secondarily to promote evaporation off of cakes. I recall reading things like "with enough FAE you don't need to fan as much" or "not enough FAE; you need to fan more often".
So what's the actual deal with those two things?
