New Hunter needing an ID
    #22434166 - 10/25/15 11:12 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

I found this on a lawn in Washington state. There are more than one. This seems to be more one of the more mature of the lot. (if its even the same as the others)

The younger ones look like a dark blue liberty cap, with a lighter off white color towards the outside of the cap.

The stems are very thin and long in comparison to the overall size of the specimen.

there does seem to be bruising on the one I picked, just not a blue color.

Take a look at what I have and let me know. This is my first real find and I am very excited.

Just took pics of the others.

The dark mass in the middle is the mushroom.

i'm leaning towards Mycena leaiana for your first one.

same Genus for the last one maybe... and the dark blob reminds me of a young pluteus or two i've seen but way too blurry and hard to see.  habitat not right either maybe, but wet enough.  nah. not that. but you're right, its probably a mushroom and not a rock.

Just googled Mycena leaiana and it doesn't fit whats growing in the yard. I'm wanting to wait till the morning. From past cultivation experience I know that they will be pretty different by then.

i was just reading that's something we see east of the rockies too. probably not leaiana.  live n learn.

got any nut trees nearby?  i'm seeing a lot of Mycena luteopallens popping up on hickory and walnut husks lately.  beyond that i'm out of guesses.

pretty sure its not active, if thats what you're hoping for.

No nut bearing trees around. there is a tree with some kind of berries on it. Active would be nice.
Its been a few months now and it is important for me to not lose touch with the gifts psilocybin has to offer. It is becoming a part of my beliefs to be able to take part in these experiences.
