Getting back on the horse.

So it's been 8 months since my last trip. It was not a pleasant experience. I've been having a lot of health problems since last fall, and all the anxiety from them hit me hard. As soon as the come up started, I was instantly thrown into a panic attack. Fast forward to today. I'm still having the health problems *they are chronic so I'll have to deal with them for the rest of my life* but I've decided I'm going to try to push past them and do one of the things I love best, mushrooms I figure I'll start out light, and eat one of my 1g peanut butter chocolates that I made last year. Wish me good vibes!
Oh, and the last trip wasn't bad the entire time, things mellowed out after I got used to the peak.....just that damn come up anxiety kills me!!

Remember set and setting is key. Make sure you are very comfortable. I think another huge influence is the people you have around you. Some people enjoy the experience better with a good friend. Others enjoy it most alone. Music is also important. Sometimes it can help you calm down or it could trigger the anxiety.
Most of all you need to remind yourself that you are deciding to make this journey. I've been experimenting with high doses and I constantly need to remind myself that everything is going to be just fine.
Anxiety is a beast sometimes. Just remember you are in control of your thoughts. The feelings may be due to an imbalance in brain chemicals. There are certain foods that can help you through it as well.
When you feel the attack coming on. Take long deep breaths and remind yourself that everything is going to be fine... and even just fine. Its going to be great.
Put yourself into the mindset that you are going to have an amazing experience!
Good luck!

Thanks, I'm more excited than anxious, though I wouldn't be completely honest if I said there wasn't at least some anxiety kicking in Have everything ready, music set up, my amazing fiance to spend time with, etc. So looking forward to it! Taking that first bite is always the hardest part though And thanks for the advice, I've heard concentrating on your breathing can help, haven't had the opportunity to try it though, the panic was so swift last time, I had no chance to do much but curl up in a ball Tried tea for the first time, and drank it too fast

Well, it was quite a healing experience. While in the midst of coming up, my health issues acted up, causing me a lot of pain/fear. However, instead of running / fighting the pain and fear, I acknowledged them and gave them their space. I spent the first half of the trip sitting there, in pain, but content, while listening to music. About halfway through the trip, the pain and anxiety it caused went away, leaving me in a state of bliss to enjoy the rest of my trip I can't wait until my birthday next month when I plan on dosing higher

The start of a trip can sometimes be a little rough at times. Even for people that do not have your issues. It is kind of like a roller coaster. That first huge drop can be intense. But the rest is super enjoyable after that.
I am glad you were able to overcome! I hope the input we gave had helped you through.
I find the more you trip the more you become used to the experience. Its like coming to.... like.. oh yeah.. I've been here.
Just remember the stuff I told you. Set and setting. etc. etc.
Good luck to your future en-devours!
