When to spray spore solution

So recently I came up on a decent amount of Psilocybe cyanescens and I have printed them all to foil. Now I am wondering when I should go around spraying woodchips patches with the solution. Will right now be too early and the newly germinated spores will die in the winter or should I spray after the last frost?

i think late summer? i really dont know but i thought you would rather spawn grains to woodchips and then move the colonised wood chips outdoors... i could be wrong but i dont know, wait for a TI.... if spraying spores works that would be awesome i have some psi cyan spores as well... never did nething with them tho

Well technically it'd be best when the mushrooms are fruiting. Cause they're dropping spores.. But you have to understand it won't be anywhere near as effective as using myc.

I highly doubt he's trying to grow Psilocybe cyan indoors. I think there's only been a handful of people who did it, and it was pretty crappy for them.
@OP read this: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21365919
Essentially each cap will drop an uncountable amount of spores, but it's not like there's uncountable amounts of patches all over the place. Think about the amount of things those spores have to compete with. The chances of success in the wild is actually extremely low. That's why we start off by germinating the spores in a controlled sterile environment, making some mycelium, and using that for a patch. That way we already have an established culture.
Truthfully you really don't have to be sterile at all. You can spawn outdoors with contaminations all the time. Here's what my contamintion pile did for me: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21856836
But I'd highly suggest getting mycelium before bringing outdoors. You can tell how low the chances are for spores..
I'd just make agar and then turn it into liquids. Like LCs. Put it into a super soaker and go to town. Thatd work MUCH better.
Also grains outside is bad too. Attracts animals hardcore. The thing people like to use is pf cakes

pf cakes outside? that sounds cool, do you just put a pf cake outside, maybe mist it? if so that sounds like an easy and low maintenance teck..
LC supersoaker!!! thats badass i love it

Nah you take a cake and grate it with a cheese grater. Then you mix it in with your bulk material of choice. For Psilocybe cyan you'd want hardwood chips. For cubes you want manure or something similar. For outdoor shit you don't even need to worry about pasteurising and contaminations. Outdoors seems to work itself out .
If you have spent cakes bury them a couple inches underground. You'll see pins pop through the soil eventually

I know you posted this reply a while ago, but I was really curious about it since I'd really like to do some outdoor spraying of my own. I live in Quebec (so no cubes) but I know a few species of Gyms will grow in my area. Do you think making LC with gym spores and then spraying that on dead hardwood patches might have any effect? I'm really genuinely interested in this idea since I currently don't have the means/time to do any controlled grows.

Fresh wood chips would be better.
If you spray durjng the dry season it mignt help to water them occaisionally. You should be able to grow cyans in quebec.
The only time I've heard of spore spraying workjng was when my friend dump a gallon of water that is black with spores on a fresh wood chip patch.

I could probably find some wood chips to spray around the city. Just to clarify, I would be doing this with mycelium broken up into water, not with plain old spore water, and it is well within my means to make some agar cultures to isolate strong mycelium for this purpose.
P.S. Thanks for the advice on the Pan. cyans; it does look like this should work in my area. If I do get some tough mycelium to colonize some wood chips and mulch I find around town, is there any chance of fruiting before the winter?

Psilocybe cyanescens not panaelous cyanescense
