Few New Works
    #2241389 - 01/14/04 11:00 AM (20 years, 3 months ago)

This first one is highly experimental - I envision an artist's right hand, adding that infinite final touch to a painting:
Hand

Next up, Meeting on Square Island (I'm a square..):
Meeting on Square Island

And finally, some more "gridwork:"
Gridwork 02

Which one's your favorite? Why? Which one is the lamest? Why is that?

"Which one's your favorite? Why? Which one is the lamest? Why is that?"

First one is my favorite, due to the way it morphs into itself.. and I like the explanation you gave for it.

The lamest is the square island one, only because I don't like the glowing balls.. I think it hurts the color scheme to add such harshly contrasting colors like that. I think it works better just as the square object alone.

The other one's just okay, no comment really.. reminds me of another one you made a bit ago.

Keep it up, friend.

Edit: P.S. Read my new poetry post and gimme an opinion! :P Unless you're not into poetry.

Hey thanks for the feedback man  I always appreciate hearing from you

http://strumpling.hallucinaut.com/desktop/2004/01-14-2003/Square%20Island%2001.jpg here's a link to just square island if interested, sans "glowing balls"

edit: and I'm not much to judge or particularly enjoy poetry, but I'll check it out

sweet thanks  I've been enjoying messing with grids recently - one can imply a lot of dynamic movement with a simple layered grid

the best one is the first one. great unity and form.
The lamest one is the second one, for the same reason as Jacques.

I like the last one too, but I just dig your style in general strump

First one is really cool, I like the outer glow and transaprency effect: the "object" looks like it has intensity.  The last two aren't my favorite: the 2nd for reasons stated above and the 3rd picture because i feel it's too busy, my eye doesn't know where to focus.

"But that's just like, your opinion man"

Blastrid, thanks man  I kinda impressed myself with that first one heh

MM, unfortunately this is the highest res I have.... I'll make future works larger though now that you bring that up

TheDude, thanks for the feedback  I see what you mean with regards to the third pic :-D

Peace, guys - thanks again for checking these out

I like the movement you feel in the first one, along with the color scheme.. you just don't see oranges and purples used together often enough anymore

The second one doesn't feel finished.. Its too detailed to just be floating free space, and echoing everyone else.. the colored lights are detrimental to it.

I'm not too fond of the last one, but I can see how it would be fun to play with.

I personally liked the grid a lot.

I would make it my desktop but I'd need your permission, and also i dont like having bright desktops, its harsh on the eyes. I usually use pretty dark backgrounds.
