Need some help or advice please!
Searched all forums, followed instructions with no results.
Substrate: Horse, Cow and Verm. Cased after fully colonized with 50/50 Peat en verm.
Humidity 80-95% Temp fluctuates between 75 - 85 'F. Fanning 2-3 times per day, Cool mist humidifier runs every 2 hours for 5 minutes.
14 days without any signs of primordial or pin formation since casing was aplied. In the same FC my Cubes are on their second flush already. Pan Cyans have just staled.
Any tips or hints would be very much appreciated!

Is that... balls of poo... all over the place?
Why's the surface of the substrate look so chunky?

Lets get past the fact that the peat is chunky!
Why in the world does the Pan Cyans refuse to fruit?

Well, honestly, and I'm totally pulling this out of my ass, but maybe it's because the peat is so damn chunky. I know they need a casing layer and lots of FAE. It really helps if that casing layer is broken up and laid very evenly across the surface. I wouldn't think that alone would stop them from fruiting but it's possible that it could be hindering it, along with some other factors. I don't see too much verm in the casing layer... I really don't know man. I'm still a noob at panaeolus for the most part.
You have them in a greenhouse type setup right? Can I see your cubes? One look at em and I could tell if there's enough FAE in there for pans.

Those tubs look really dry, you should give it a quick mist and fan. Evaporation from the surface is a big pinning trigger. And up the FAE in there, it looks like aerial mycelium is starting to form. You can see the mycelium beginning to reach up and away from the sub.

That's not Panaeolus cyanescens, it's' Psilocybe cyanescens
That being said, put them outside to fruit and give them a good watering.. This is the perfect season for woodlovers. (fall/winter)
Dont expect much.. If anything at all.

The mycelium.
Sounds like a miss labeled print/culture. "P. Cyanescens" could be Panaeolus cyanescens or Psilocybe cyanescens

I have my doubts.
I dont think ps cyans would grow that prolific on horse/cow dung. Its a wood lover species.
I know ps cyans grows on grains. But dung? No way.
As for why its not pinning, maybe needs more water on the casing

Idk I've seen cubes grown on wood. And wood lovers on straw. Why so far fetched?
I've never ever seen rizmorphic panaeolus. That shit is hella rizmorphic. Definitely not a pan.

&& the fact that its been 14 days and the mycelia hasn't produced any fruits let alone primordia..
Not to mention I'm speaking from actual experience.
The casing layer isn't the problem.. Its the conception.
Woodlovers will consume damn near anything you throw at it. They just refuse to fruit, unless the substrate is hardwood based.

This, I dunno how I didn't notice that, that's definitely a psilocybe.

I don't have any problems believing it can colonize whatever you put it on. There's never been any contention about that to my knowledge. It's always been the fruiting that's the issue with woodloving psilocybes.

Thank you to all that took the time to post!
I believe Fantastic Mr Fox is right, The spores was mislabeled. P. Cyanescens turned out to be Psilocybe and not Panaeolus.
I made some outdoor beds with Oak sawdust and chips and mixed the cakes with the wood. Hopefully they with fruit in the fall next year. Also noticed the mycelium went from cottony to rizomorhic.
The mycelium did not really take well on the manure! Took 2-3 weeks and was running very weak.
Thank you to all, your help is very much appreciated!!!
