How are you pasturizing the subs in those plastic Ziploc containers? I'd rather go that route... wouldn't they melt in the PC
The PP5 plastic containers used in the tek do not melt while in the PC. But if it makes you feel better, you can substitute them for glass jars (half pint wide mouth). The only downside is it'll have a little less surface area for fruiting.

They are PP5 (polypropylene) which can stand up to the heat as long as they don't touch the sides and bottom of the PC. Look for plastic that is microwavable and dishwasher safe. Most likely it will be PP5.

Thanks for the good info, what is the growing method of choice for most people,the shotgun fruiting chamber or the poor mans pod?
